NotW XXVI: Children of Kylorin (Game Thread)

"Ekolite, do you have an alibi?"

The whore appears this morning as a depressingly well clothed townsperson, not in her usual garb. It appeared as if she had taken matters seriously.

"It's too bad...I was hoping I could lure you into my bed..I've heard holy men scream the loudest!"

The old one, KingMorgan should get the money. Helping out elders is something that should be standered practice for all.

It seems that the Knife was used to help little ones kill each other. Perhaps I should take it to help prevent any future slayings of the innocents...

Also to keep it from people like Ekolite who seem to just be out to rid the world of other little ones. This I will not stand for...

The Champion looks inexpressably smug.

So I was right about Ekolite, then? I do believe I'm owed a few apologies, yes I do. But I'll settle for the gold, of course.

Thank you, Champion. You were right about Ekolite.

The Apprentice appears to be extraordinarily grumpy about something, but he enthusiastically throws in his accusation against Ekolite.

What evidence do you people have against me? So far I have heard none. I have no reason to suspect I am a werewolf - I have no fur or claws, which are I hear the telltale signs to look out for... I support myself.

Methos, you are scum. You are a liar and scoundrel and you have no evidence to support your claims.

Ekolite does sound very suspicious... but I do need to see him...
"Priest, I'd like to talk to you before you go back to the shadows..."

If anyone wants to talk to me in private about this whole charade, I am (on msn right now).

EDIT: And until I hear some evidence, I refuse to be hanged!

The blacksmith, who, despite what it says in the second post, is a dwarf, leaves his dwellings for the first time. He had planned to join the fray earlier, but the death of the tanner had put him in a rather Grumpy mood.

Hrrrrmph. Well ain't that jes' grand. Moight as well joomp off a cliff roight now, save yez all the troobles... shoolda predicted that'd 'appen, stoopid wizards or whatever yez be. An' then stoopid tree done fell on me. Don't trust trees, moighty wicked thingums they be.

Pah. Can't be accyoosin' now, can oi, e'en though oi coold if oi wannet to, but yez all sayin' Eekoolite be a wolf, well oi jes' can't be 'avin' wiz such troifles. Oi got stuff to do.

With that confusing diatribe over with, he marches back inside.

The merchant walks out from the remains of the dead tanners house. A man would notice that one of her breasts is quite larger than the other one.

"Does anyone want this bowl?!? As good as new! Highest bidder gets it! Anyone wants this bowl? It's good for cooking, eating cereals and enlarging your breasts!"

She reached under her dress and pulled out a bowl, or a half of a bowl, the other half had been burned away. It has several blood stains on it.

"You there sir?" She walks towards the bard

"Can you tell me what this is?"

"It's a half of a bowl." The bard replies

"And what a half. This bowl is just slightly used, which means it's slightly cheaper than a brand-new bowl! Am i right Pinman?"

Speaking to her companion Pinman who is standing at the MerchanTent©, cleaning an advertising sign.

"Ah, yes. And those stains will probably be gone with a wash."

When nobody seems interested in the ex-bowl, the merchant gives it to her friend

"There, wash this please. We'll try to sell it some other day."

The wounded soldier, barely able to breathe properly, manages to cough out some words to share with the villagers. "Oh people of our great village, what has the poor priest ever done to deserve something like this?" The soldier wheezes, then resumes. "The farmer's daughter has no right to be suspicious of such an innocent old man who brings this village our religion. I have no choice but to raise an eyebrow at the farmer's daughter, after witnessing her ruthless accusation of such a nice, gentle, loving old man." The soldier hacks some more, then falls asleep.

The Farmer's Daughter seems very sure that Ekolite is the wolf. I hope, for her sake as well as ours, that the evidence really is as conclusive as she makes out. If it is not, then I suggest she makes that clear before the Priest's fate is sealed.

As for the knife, I can see the wisdom in letting Backwards Logic examine it. Though the evidence thus far is only circumstantial, it does seem to suggest that oyzar was murdered by the wizards in revenge for his having killed one of their number on the first night.

A few hours later, as the soldier struggled back into consciousness, he declared to his fellow members of his beloved village, "It brings great concern to me that the tanner, oyzar, managed to steal my Knife of Alazkan, which I have used throughout the years to protect the village from any harm. Unfortunately, while the knife is not in my care, the village is not safe from the werewolves and other villains that haunt the village, going around and slaughtering the civilians. I ask sepuku that after he inspects the knife to make sure that it was not used to kill any member of the village, that he will return it to me. It is in the best interests of all the innocents in the village who wish to be protected from the forces of evil."

(CCRunner, while I am injured can I vote for items? I know that I can't vote or lynchings, but I remember hearing someone saying that wounded can still vote for items or gold.)

Everyone is very quick to follow these bold accusations, however for the lack of better evidence I am assuming Ekolite is guilty until he gives reasoning for his apparent involvement with the murder

(OOC: I'm confused. It was Backwards Logic who wanted to investigate the knife, not Sepuku. Right?)

Give the Knife to the golem, Sepuku. Don't they have some sort of scroll in their heads that keeps them from hurting anyone? Or is that another sort of golem? I'm not up on these weird dwarf magics. Anyway, golem.

I REALLY don't understand why people aren't wanting to give me any gold. I really don't. There's a carnival coming up, and all. Do you think this body comes for free?

The Champion strikes a studied pose that shows off his toned calves to best effect.

Ten years straight, you know it.

Since it is obvious who is the wolf, I will mix thing up by thinking that it should be I to die tonight.
