Most likely, however there's always a slight chance that the mafia could target one of their own and have protection abilities to protect the mayor - e.g. in the LOTR game mafia had innocent-like abilities.

Reasons, so I don't look like a **********:
Back a while ago at the .org, we had game after game of the town just pooling info to confirmed and/or dead townies, and it just simply being whoever didnt roleclaim and prove it, was to be lynched.

I got sick of it after a few games, now no one really does it, but we had the pro town groups come in after, thats why I hated them straight up.

In my view, revealing info to you would help the town, but is against what mafia is.

My bad, read this before posting:

You may quote or copy PMs from other players, but not from the GM to send to a third party, however, forwarding messages is against the rules. Also, remember that PMs can easily be faked.

Thats from the NOTW infomation thread. I took the second post to be rules, since there are none anywhere else, am i correct?

(I think the rules have evolved about two dozen times since that post was first written. Most players these days don't like PM-quoting on principle, because it changes the communication dynamic. Individual GMs sometimes have their own policies, but as a general rule it's probably best to avoid it in NOTW games.)
