now that I have C3C, can i uninstall PTW?

well, simple question, now That i have C3C, can i uninstall PTW, and still have access to it?

Depends on what you want to do with PTW.

Sure you can because PTW does not play a role anymore.

Sure he can not. If he uninstalls PTW, either he won't be able to play any game, even pure C3C or he won't uninstall anything. All that PTW leaderheads, units etc. are needed for C3C aren't they? Unless he wants to get rid of PTW WW2 extras and scenarios, to save 70 MB... which can be done by hand anyway...

You can install C3C without having PTW, you know, so you don't need PTW at all.

That's because C3C comes with the core PTW game. I don't know what the effects of uninstalling PTW, if you installed it separately. C3C doesn't put a PTW entry in the add/remove programs, so you'd just have to delete it at your own risk. I will inquire with people that will know.

You do need PTW. It's just that it comes with C3C, in case you didn't know.

by PTW, I mean that I have the actaul expansion of PTW, as such, i would think that all the ptw add on included, and needed for C3C are included under the umbrella label of C3C- and as such PTW is no longer needed...

There is a quote by BreakAwayan in two threads about some PTW art missing in C3C... he states that PTW with latest patch is needed for C3C to run, that's why C3C will re-install whole CIV3PTW, overwriting your previous installation. EDIT: in other words, you should have only 1 needed PTW, not 2
