Civ - Nubia

Leader - Amanitore
Civilization Ability - Ta-Seti
- 50% production towards ranged units. All ranged units gain 50% experience. Mines over strategic resources gain 1 production, mines over luxury and bonus resources gain 2 gold.
Leader Ability - Kandake of Meroe - +20% production to districts, 40% if there is Nubian Pyramid next to your City Centre.
Unique Unit - Pítati - It is stronger and faster than the ancient Archer and upgrades to Crossbowman.
Unique Tile Improvement - Nubian Pyramid - A Nubian Pyramid can be built on Desert, Desert Hills or in Floodplains regions. They provide Faith, as well as additional yields based on the adjacent District, or Food for the City Center.

looks op to me - a +5 archer? quicker production for ranged? OMG

Do desert mountains look like that already? Or are they getting a graphical tweak with the patch

EDIT: Eyyyyyy, ninja'ed :p

@bite Will you add their abilities in the first post?

Great to see Nubia join the ranks as another Civ newcomer. They are very deserving of a place on the roster. Also nice to have a very different leader depiction. There aren't many hefty leaders, and even fewer with dark skin tones (looking at you Cleopatra).

They look pretty OP though. Every single ability that was mentioned is incredibly powerful.

Faster ranged unit production? Check.
Stronger Archers (which are already OP and required every game)? Check.
Faster district construction? Check.
Additional production right from the early game? Checkmate.

[Edit]: Anybody want to speculate what the new palace wonder will do?

She is beautiful! And this does look like a fun civ to play. Production and gold bonuses, early faith tile improvement, fast district construction, and improved archer. What's not to like?

Nubia is a first on Civ series, right?

How do you think the bonuses, which seem pretty strong, weigh against the apparent desert bias?

This Civ looks quite interesting at a first glance. So it seems the strategy is going to spam archers and make an ancient era push, then sit on your laurels for a religious victory, with the Nubian pyramids speeding up district construction. That district production boost could be quite helpful in making early holy sites less crippling, since you'll spend less time building them.

That Archer seems scarily good though. 30 ranged combat & 3 movement? I have to imagine they'll be more expensive.

Edit: Nubian Pyramids are going to be absolutely disgusting with Petra.

However, they should have called the "nubian pyramids" "meroan pyramids" ... Because it will fun to read on the screen nubian nubian pyramid (just like the venitian venitian galley.
