Prince
The game should warn you if a nuclear apocalypse is approaching. These warnings should be- in contrary to the terror of a nuclear war- be entirely polite and peaceful. I'm imagining a pop up where it explains so and so and such and such are going to fire nukes at each other, accompanied with a picture of a blue sky. 'By the way, this could be the last time your people ever see something akin to this.' Or a verdant grassland. Etc, etc, etc.
If you start the war, the pop-up should be angry, in all caps. It should berate you for even starting the war.
When the nuclear war happens (and ends), the pop-up should be properly menacing. Again, imagine a screen of fire with white ominous text in front of it. 'The living envy the dead.' Along with, of course, a total death toll in the nuclear war. The intent is to scare the player into trying to prevent the war, and to shame the player into starting or failing to stop one.
