Number of Civs?

Hi, I'm a complete novice and could use an answer. Is it possible to set/change the maximum number of civilizations allowed on a particular map. I'm in the process of creating a detailed Europe map, but the number of civilizations on the in-game map make the task rather difficult.

There are DLL's that you can download that allow for more civs. I think there's one for 50 civs that Blacksun made, just search 50 civs DLL in the search box. Good luck with the Europe map!

You can also manually add civiliztions into your map file, i'm not sure what the maximum number is for this.. or even if there is a maximum number.. but you can manually do a lot more than the game would have by default and it won't require doing anything special to run it on a different computer.

Sure there is a maximum number - as Firestorm said, it's what is set in the dll - 18 by default and up to 50 with the said custom game core.
