Haha, I shall try my best. :)

    Wait......

When you say naughty things, do you mean "naughty" naughty, or do you mean not kill, maim, or play lethal/creepy pranks on one another?

Because one of them's gonna be real difficult :mischief:

I don't mind pranks. Thankfully I have habit of "checking links" before I click on them (you know, near bar where "find" happens) - I'd recommend you to use redirection service like cuts.name or tinyurl.com

We think this is the best way, unless many seem to think otherwise.

Why would want to accompany you? Judging by knowledge, experience and skill It should be you who accompanies us.

Yes, we have enough knives to spare.

    UPDATE ONE
    Short summary:
    New houses,
    New small field,
    Trapline work
    Hunters successful,
    Irrigation half finished,
    First meeting with clanmates,
    An enemy?
Wild sheep herds on the move,
    Ruins start to overgrow,
    Mermaids noticed,
    People disappear in the dark,
Villagers afraid due low amount of guards

With every passing day, sun shines more warmer and brighter over land known under name of Baimora. As plants start to blossom, animals exit their dens and paths, previously untravelled become much used again. Forests echo from sounds its inhabitants make.

Where once, several centuries ago, stood a village only ruins remain today. But if one looks those ruins closely, he can see green skinned villagers scavenging for food, supplies and what ever else they could use. Whatever they find, is dragged into village nearby, evaluated, rated and if found good, stored. Among large group of scavengers, one with trained eye can spot only 5 farmers but many more craftsmen. It looks like specialists who scavenge are much more successful with their findings, if compared to commoners. Most of the time commoners drag random useless construction parts or textiles what cannot withstand rain, into village. Yet some of their findings seem to be useful – bags containing nails, seeds or salt, boxes and barrels with food, tools (or parts of tools, like hammer heads) and much more. Among common folk, there are three immortals who also help to explore ruins. One of them, called Shurzurn, seems to be working together with builders and organize materials and construction parts into village to be reused in new houses (or rather “common sleeping halls”) construction. At first he works alone, but soon several other volunteers come to his aid – poor Shurzurn can't carry large logs from ruins to village on his own. Besides reusable logs he also finds many nails, several hammers and many reusable metal parts. It seems builders enjoy being supplied with new tools, materials and other neccecerities - not having to work with broken hammers, save nails and with wet logs (instead of dry logs from ruins) makes them very happy.

Other immortal, known under name of Luke scavenges ruins and tries to supply craftsmen with his findings, but all he does is angers them with his worthless findings and constant questions. He angers them so much, that many Craftsmen dislike and avoid his presence now. But it is not easy to stop Luke and he continues his scavenging despite being insulted. And in the end, he is successful – he manages to find chest from underneath of some rubble containing:
A medium-sized painting, with following image

Is it just some artist fiction or could it be, that in the past, orc warriors used wolves as their mounts?

    Besides painting there are also:

    5 fighting axes,
    2 poor-condition fighting axe,
    3 small wooden round-shields,
a bag containing 16 amulets what look very similar to the one on painting,
    large roll of uncoloured cloth.

As no one recognizes Lukes “treasure” as theirs, Luke decides to claim box with its content and share content as well as he can. As he has nothing to do with that large roll of cloth, he stores it into storehouse and in less than a day it is turned into several blankets by some elderly women. He also donates 15 amulets and battle axes to clan. He lays claims on one amulet (what now hangs around his neck), painting and both poor quality fighting axes. Craftsmen rate these necklaces being decent quality crafts and probably worth quite a bit.

As for now, he is still thinking what to do with found poor-condition axes and painting. Poor quality axes need some craftsman to take a look at them, Luke assumes that one needs to replace handles and sharpen blades but those skills are beyond his knowledge. He could donate these to the clan but everyone seem to accept that these things belong to him now. OOC: dice rolled 1 and 6

Third immortal scavenger, known under the name of Stoll, explores ruins for anything that can be bartered – he manages to find several tool bags, 4 bags containing (valuable?) pearls. Out of those bags, he donates 3 to the clan, attaching one bag onto his belt.

He also goes with hunters group, that head to check out forest in N-NW of Gormandash. Several days hunters hunt for pray, catching only wild squirrels (with bows) and one, already, dead young elk. As clumsy and inexperienced as Stoll is, he goes bit further away when hunters and their followers rest … to “relieve” himself. While doing “His business” he hears sounds, like someone else would be having trouble “doing their business”. Sounds even continue after Stoll finished his “business”. So, naturally curious Stoll “sneaks” through bushes to see who is having “troubles”. He accidently takes wrong step and fells into bush, even worse is that behind bush there is not solid ground but rather large hole. And as Stoll is very skilled in hitting holes, he manages to “hit hole” and fit through it perfectly. After landing, he stands up and rubs his painful back, he notices light emitting from “cave” he just fell into. As he walks towards -what he assumes is exit - he still can hear someone “reliving himself of extra food”, but seems there are now several more people there. “Reliving party?” Taking small side-step to avoid, what seems like a rock, Stoll manages to step onto someones tail.

    Cave where Stoll landed

Stoll appeared to have landed in the middle of tunnels, that boars used to hide. Those sounds “like someone would be having trouble with potty-action” were not orc or other race made, but rather they were sounds what sleeping boars make. As many of those “rocks” around Stoll started to move with intention of wounding or killing poor orc, he ran out of this cave as speedy as possible – Setting his path towards resting area. Like true orc, he warned hunting party from as far away as possible – loud screams he made were so terrifying that hunters and commoners immediately grabbed their weapons and hid behind trees. Sight of Stoll running away from wild pigs, made hunters to unleash their scariest battle screams and charge into one-on-one fight with pigs. Thankfully, pigs were so caught up with following Stoll, that they did not notice hunters closing up with rocks, spears and arrows before it was too late. This battle ended with, several wounded commoners and hunters but their wounds are mostly cuts and bruises – honor of the orcs. For some bizarre reason, Stoll self-sacrificing actions of supplying clan with meat are not rated highly amongst hunters he accompanied, but never the less he gained some popularity among simple orcs. Specially among those who love to eat meat and listen to good boasting “of how bravely he baited entire hoard of bloodlusted boars to follow him” from our “hero” Stoll. (OOC: 5 and 6)

One of several boars following stoll

But Stoll self-sacrificing actions were experienced by another Immortal called Gorrik. During first hunt of his life he manages to pick one of several big boars and start one-on-one fight with it. One of these boars, who followed Stoll, ran just past of Gorrik. But Gorrik was no fool or fled like crybaby, he instead used all his strength and punched his self-made sharp stick (he called “spear”) into boar weak place – it side, just next to right back leg. Unfortunately, but as expected from spear that was crafted by some random Bob, spear breaks – leaving sharper part stuck into boars side. Boar suddenly feeling pain, jumps up and turns around mid-air looking for nearest cause of pain and of course, nearest cause is Gorrik. Poor Gorrik, now weaponless, runs as fast he can, followed by blood lusted boar – thankfully one of the 10 hunter manages to shoot two arrows into side of this boar, before this “couple” gets out of his range and broken spear near boar leg, slows boar down quite a bit.
But poor Gorrik is not so experienced and calm - but in danger, he manages to use “dodging” skill – only thing that gives two legs benefit over four legs. And one of his dodges is successful – he manages to avoid running into rather large oak tree, but his follower is not so lucky, charging head on into that tree. Gorrik, seeing this is his chance stops and grabs random large rock from ground and hits stunned boar with every bit of strength he has – first hit seems to have no effect. As do several other hits and boar tries to get back onto its feet despite being constantly hit onto its head. Gorrik is not stupid and knows that if boar manages to get on its feet, Gorrik will ripped apart. Thankfully one lucky hit, that lands directly between boar eyes and sound of bones shattering finishes this boar. As Gorrik returns to the camp site, he finds several of his brothers severely wounded and with broken bones, hunters out of ammo and total 5 boars lying dead on ground – several wild animals managed to escape. Despite of his success Gorrik does not leave without wounds. But as he walks back into village, carrying boar he killed on improvised “dragging tool”. But into this village, he walks with his head up – he Gorrik, one of the immortals, managed to kill Boar, despite of being alone, unarmed and inexperienced. His story is good talk around camp fire for a week or more and both commoners and hunters seem to respect him bit more. Thanks to this story, hunting party is always full of volunteers so hunters often have to refuse more than half of these “inexperienced commoners” - as they make hunting and sneaking up much more difficult. Thanks to this event hunters learned that ambushing for boars near caves is smart idea and no one died during hunting trips – besides that, less people and commoners got wounded. Those who were wounded got back onto their feet when summer began – most of them could walk back from forest on their own legs.

Another immortal called Maxwell was part of the same hunting group that managed to slay several boars, but during boar attack he managed to “bait several of them away” from main group so hunters would have easier time. Just Like several other inexperienced commoners did. Is what he tells true or did he simply ran when he heard desperate screams of Stoll and saw his bloodlusted “followers” only he himself knows. Rest of the orcs know that Maxwell did not join other hunting parties again for some reason, he just visited trap line from time to time.

Upon his return, he was less scarred than others, Maxwell planted several plants that he found in woods and what looked like tasty onto small area of farming plot. Unfortunately, most of the plants he planted were used to with forest shade and most of them withered out of thirst and heat. It seems however, that he some of these plants he found and planted were Flax plants. There are not enough to turn into shirt or two this year, but there should be enough seeds for next year. Maybe if Maxwell learns some farming and plants these plants during next spring, he can grow whole flax plant field? //OOC, sorry dude poor rolls

While hunters hunt, immortal called Ugag carries large boulders from ruins to Gormandash, at first builders attempt to ignore him, but seeing that Ugags strength and stamina are nearly limitless (or he is simply too stupid to rest) they soon started to describe Ugag what kind of rocks to bring from Ruins. That did not work well, as Ugag had trouble understanding specific descriptions. After some volunteers join with Ugag and helped him to pick out rocks needed for construction, many suitable (square or simply flat) rocks are carried from old ruins to new village and many houses got nice foundation. This nice workout improved Ugags strength but those few volunteers who helped him spent several days in bed. Saying they are “feeling sick”.

That small workout was not enough for Ugag and once enough rocks were carried into Gormandash, he was seen join woodcutting team. Due series of “unfortunate accidents” woodcutting team members convinced Ugag, that his talent are better be used as carrier. Ugag agreed and carried timber from around village to construction supplies area in Gormandash-Goro. No bad comments can be said about Ugag carrier job, in fact one of village youth ( whose understandings of surrounding and world view are “similar” to Ugags) has been hanging around Ugag more often, helping him with carrying tasks and admiring his strength, will and stamina.

OOC: He is not follower yet, but he likes strength, maybe next turn. You got 4&5 as dice rolls.

Taking a look around village, one see can see farmers cultivating land, what has been barren for past 400 years. If one set his eyes towards river, he can see some green skinned workers dig small trench towards fields. Trench itself is small and only small amounts of water flow through it, but this should be enough to provide farmers with water and if in dire thirst, one could drink from it too (despite of its muddy and soggy water). One of the orcs, belonging into class of “immortals”, known under name of “Wotepchu Broadhand“ is especially hard working. He works without whining, listens and contributes to discussions if needed and honours his name with hard work. Their group started digging from river and dug more than 500 meters, just other 500 meters to dig, so irrigation would reach to village edge – not a bad job. Wotepchu spends much of his resting time near river, looking at animals and fish. It is no surprise that he soon learns where some of the fish gather during midday – should he share that knowledge with others? Despite of looking at animals, he always keeps his ears and eyes open for threats. Sometimes wind brings faint sounds from the SE, like someone would play drums in the distance, but once he starts to listen more carefully, he hears only hears wind. Sometimes he hears faint “singing” sounds coming from south – it looks like these lullabies calm him but he is both intrigued and scare of who or what may cause these sounds.

During time Wotepchu spent near river, he often ran into other immortal known under name of Xialo. Xialo seems to hang out with fishermen group who fishes near river, this group of specialists does not accept him among their ranks and he is forced to watch them from further away. Despite his low knowledge of fishing, Xialo manages to catch average two fishes per day, by using trial and error and randomly stabbing water with improvised spear. If he continues this action, he'll soon learn some basic fishing (using a spear). It seems Xialo wanted also to help with digging irrigation ditch, but usually, when he arrived all of the spades were in use and when he finally managed to get his hands onto one spade, he “accidently” ruined over 30 meter wide section - before head digger noticed what Xialo did. This does not effect Xialo social-position among clan very well, but many yet do not care about “this accident”.

If one takes look West of the village, one can see several hunters setting up traps to catch ferrets, rabbits and other “vermin”. It seems there are 10 hunters setting up traps. They are shared into 5 groups – each group has 2 hunters who look for vermin holes and set up traps, they are accompanied by 2 villagers who carry already prepared traps, equipment and other necessary tools. One known under name of Chill Bill seems to be great deal of help with organizing this action and is one who attempts to keep motivation of both hunters and commoners up. He constantly travels between groups, talks with them and sometimes annoys hunters more than he is use for, but in the end he manages to keep everyone motivated and steady supply of new trap material flowing. Thanks to his constant travel between groups, chatter and otherwise being annoying (read: keeping motivation up) and not to mention screaming at craftsmen, when there were not enough traps ready to “ship out”, Chill Bill seems to have earned some respect from Hunters faction. All this time organizing does not leave much time for Bill to study trapping, but at least there is now a Steady (but rather low producing) source of food and leather income.

    Factions doings

    Builders
So days pass as new buildings are erected to freshly built village of Garmadash-Goro. These buildings are made quickly, by inexperienced builders and it is douptful that they offer very much warmth during winter. But by then body heat should heat massive rooms, designed for sleeping purposes, quite well.

    Hunters

As hunters now know where to find boars now, they often ambush boars near natural caves. There are not many who dare to go deeper into woods as forest is filled with sounds of many dangerous animals. They also never dare to enter into these caves as these boars seems to see quite well in the dark. Despite of that, hunters with commoners as followers learn quite a bit about surrounding forest edges and dare to move less carefully, but avoid entering deeper into woods. Despite of recent good hunts, numbers of hunters who hunt in woods remain low – as many of them are dealing with setting up trap network. Many volunteers who wish to join with hunting detail are turned down – commoners tend to chatter, step randomly on everything (branches) and simply charge at boars without being able to “wait for proper moment and strike together”. This causes hunters to turn many down and many boars manage to escape hunters thanks to “help” of the commoners.

    Trap Line
Trap network, established around village with great deal of help from Chill Bill, also nets some small but steady income of rabbits, !huge frogs! and some other small “vermin”. But this trapping line requires constant maintenance and commoners who check traps for caught animals often leave their smell on and around traps – being inexperienced as they are. Yet this steady income is better than nothing and soups now contain small pieces of meat when hunters are away. If trap network continues to work same well as before, crafters expect to produce enough boots to equip half of the clan members with them during winter period.

    Irrigation
Thanks to help of many volunteers, irrigation is half way finished, natural slope is used created to create a pond to half way from river-to-village. Thankfully, or sadly pond (only) shortens path that green skins have to travel to get water by half, but is not half better than nothing? Does this irrigation last during hot summer days and do orcs continue to dig this irrigation closer to their village or will they leave it as it is?

natural slope that was used as end of irrigation, large enough to hold some clean water

    New field
Most of the farmers seem to be digging and cultivating land, water it and cover it with thin covering of ash (from camp fire), some farmers also help to look for food plants and seeds in the ruins. As spring turns into summer, one taking a look at ruins can see that commoners missed many food plants and here and there in the rubble, plants are growing out of it. As finely crafted Field does not get completely filled due the lack of seeds and saplings, so empty areas are filled with random plants, out of what few are Flax plants planted by Maxwell.

    Craftsmen
Craftsmen have plenty to do and several commoners learn how to create trap line necessities – they are now apprentices, aka workers in training. Their group, sadly seems to avoid Luke as he bothered them far too much.

    Fishermen
Fishermen scout river and find several good fishing spots. As there are no nets or other fishing equipment besides improvised spears supply of fishes seems to be much smaller than it could be.

One fisherman reports seeing “white female creature with fish tail” and hearing her song that locked him into position for several hours. Fishermen are afraid to go further down the river (North) with out knowing what these “creatures” are. Going up river (south) is also “bad idea” in their opinion.

    Woodcutters

Wood cutting, thanks to hard work of many commoners and immortal named Ugag carrying logs back into village, village builds up steady source of lumber. It seems, however, that workers did not chop “in woods” but preferred to cut down trees around village, as they are afraid of wild animals who may find and attack them – they refuse to go into woods without being accompanied by group of trained soldiers.

    Soldiers
Some volunteers train with swords and keep patrol during they and night, they could be considered “rookie soldiers”. However, due lack of weaponry their numbers are low (16). May someone could talk with crafters and get these battle axes sharpened and polished, so they could be used in training?

Young warrior using two short swords for practice

    Shamans

    Are quiet as usual.

    EVENTS

    Wild brothers!

A wounded group of 12 wild orcs enter into village of Gormandash – noticed once they only have less than one hundred meters shows clearly village incompetence and inability to defend itself. It seems these “wild orcs” have no intention of attacking village. Despite they do not feel happy about low defence that village has, most of them are heavily wounded and carry signs of recent battle.

They say that their Clans village (a week and several days upstream) was destroyed by “Horned beasts” and that their group is probably only group that had survived. They had walked randomly through woods and plains until they saw campfire smoke and seeing village inhabited by their kin made them very happy. They do not believe they were followed and ask to be “accepted into your clan” or at least get their wounds treated and some food. In exchange they offer everything they are carrying (including clothes) and their knowledge. It seems some of these “victims of war” are good quality soldiers while others are untrained youth.

They tell their village was found by their fore fathers and they did not tell them anything about where they come from or are there more orcs out there. These survivors do not know anything except their profession as it seems their village had strong hierarchy concerning workers and commoners. So it is doubtful much more can be learned from them.

Their leader drew a map of sorts from surrounding area. Fireplace represents recently (and every yearly) used fireplace they found during their “retreat”. They also marked are where they say their “enemy” will attack from.

    ]
They describe horned enemy to looke like this, of course, without gnomes hanging on their horns.

Saying that these horned bastards attacked their village without warning – suddenly entire surrounding area was filled with sounds of drums, followed by army of 40 or more “horned ones”. They spared no one but did not torch or damage any buildings. Warriors claim that they had never seen these creatures before and are fairly certain that they will find this village and will attack it on either autumn or winter.

Just like they would've vanished into air
Around village, several elders and youth who went out to “potty”, during midnight are lost and never seen again. There are no suspicious footprints found, just regular orc footprints and none seem to indicate struggle of sorts. Just like these few would have “disappeared into air”.

Several small herds of wild sheep appear into distance
Fisherman and scouts report that several small herds seem to t travel from NE, crossing river and passing village over 1 km South. They seem to be heading into SW and are relatively calm, but if someone approaches them, they tend to flee into random directions and later gather around Ram when he calls them. Hunters wish to slaughter them all but some of civilians seem to want to “catch” them alive.

Half completed irrigation what has "pond" at its end, one could dig from pont toward village to closen irrigation to fields.
Fishermen gain "poor" fishing area, with better equipment it could change to "ok" fishing area.
Fishermen gain fear out of exploring river.
Cutters cut down most trees around village. Gain fear going into forest edge to chop trees.
    16 rookie soldiers

    Village income

5 poor quality iron bars (1 bar is enough to produce 1 item, despite of item size)

3 bags of pearls, 15 amulets, 5 bags containing many small statues of orcs sitting

Supplies at the begging of summer:

Water: irrigation pond half km from village
Food: very low income from Trap line, no income from farm (but expected to give some output by autumn), irregular small-medium hunting income, regular "low" income from fishing
Wood: very low (most trees around village have been cut and most cutters refuse to go into woods)
Bars: very low, mainly poor quality what could be salvaged from ruins
Ores: Some rocks piled nicely into village

    Granary stocks:
Very low - barely 1/3rd of what is needed to survive winter on "low" food

    Gormandash-Goro population changes

    Factions decisions

Decision 1: Accept 12 wild orcs (8 warriors, 4 commoners) into our clan or not?
Decision 2: What to do with Wild sheep herds?
Decision 3: What do about Mysterious losses that happen during night?
Decision 4: What to do about mermaids
Decision 5: How to deal with new enemy ... are they even enemy or did those other orcs anger them some how?

Builders: Argue among themselves what to do next
Hunters: Argue importance of hunting in the woods. Argue if sheep should be killed or captured
    Craftsmen: Argue what to craft
Farmers: Need more forkforce on fields, ask irrigation to be finished
    Fishermen: Ask for guards
Warriors: Ask to accept “wild orcs” to learn from them. Ask more volunteers to train against new possible enemy.

    Commoners:
Some would bring water to village (now easier than before!)
    None would scavenge ruins
Some would attempt to go with hunters/fishermen
    Few would train for defence
None would chop wood (If guarded, some would chop wood)
    Few would help builders
    Few would dig irrigation drenches
Few would gather editable plants under guidance of farmers.

Most are scared of “horned ones”, mermaids and forest creatures.

Ugag - gains strength, can now gain a follower if he spends more time with that "youth" and does not get roll of 1 or two
Wotepchu Broadhand - gains strenght, gains knowledge of "secret fishing spot"

    To the Soldiers:

I hear that you want Volunteers. I would be happy to train with you guys. I have two broken axes, but they are better than nothing.

    @Northern Wolf
Good update. Don't worry so much about the bad English. It seems appropriate seeing as we are orcs and all.

    TO EVERYONE

Northen Wolf not Northern Wolf :p

    ----
When doing diplo with NPC factions or players, diplo should be something like this:

"From:" is rather important to ease my work :p

    -----
First page updated, please point out any mistakes

    -----
Last day to get Orders in: Thursday, before 12:00 gmt+0.

We would be happy to see our village more defended. These axes you have are useless - get them fixed first.

OOC: You could not store them in clan stocks as they are broken and would have probably thrown away. Craftsmen are slightly disliking you and would rather do their tasks and leave repairing your stuff to the last minute. If story (longer than 5 lines) is written about broken weapons, then I offer you free third action that contains Fixing axes (if axes are fixed depends on dice roll).

Writing stories benefits everyone in some way (chance to succeed, more items - surviving death etc.)
IC Diplo gives your opinion much larger effect than OOC opinions.

EDIT: I recommend you to pick Overseer - overseer is what scribe was in Nesse. Overseer basically gathers together opinions of Immortals on "decisions". If possible he/she also sums up opinions & support on important actions.

Muttonz! Ugag love muttonz, very good eats. Ugag tired of boar and toad. Let's have feast, make little greenies grow strong like Ugag! Strong orcs smash Bull-mans face!

Ugag like new wild orc friends. They strong and know how to fight. Ugag want to learn to smash like them, then Ugag can protect Choppa friends.

Ugag think bad things come in night. Ugag not good at numbers, but Ugag think if we split sixteem warriors into four squads of five, and have two squads train together, one guard, and one sleep during morning, evening, and night, then granpa orcs have escorts when making night business. Also have guards if bull-mens come, or if more orc friends find us and want to fight.

Ugag think fish who look like lady still fish. Maybe they taste like muttonz too?

    ----------

Ugag think update great! Ugag think Northen Wolfies' english just fine. But want to know, does 'little Ugag' have name?

:twitch: Wild sheeps! Wonderful news! But what to do with them...hmm...

I would like a pet sheep! So warm and fuzzy. But I don't know how I can catch it! Oooh I know. Let's make a trap. Something that would make them stop running away whenever we get close. Something like... a snare.... or a pitfall trap... yes. I would like that. Tihi. Anyways back to the point. We can make some traps like that and set it on where we think the sheeps will go towards. Then, a lot of us will go around making lots of noise and scare the sheeps into the traps. After that, we can take the sheeps, tie them to poles and make them pets. Tihi, I'm so smart :twitch:

*Smacks himself in the head* Ah finally the wretched twitching is gone. Funny though. I can't seem to remember what I was doing.

Wild orcs? Why good sirs, it is wonderful to see you people. I don't know about the other's reactions but welcome to our village! Perhaps you could teach us all how to defend ourselves from this cruel and harsh world. I think we all neeed it.

Meanwhile I am getting tired of all this random opinions flying about! We need someone to keep track of all this. Someone who will be like...an overseer... Yes, this overseer will...oversee...all these confusion in the village and try to make some sense out of it. For somebody who is truly fit for this horribly boring job, I believe we should pick out somebody who truly doesn't care about the affairs of this village. Somebody who can give a neutral opinion. Someone like Ugag.

    Wait, can Ugag even count?

Ahahahahahahahahahaha. Nevermind then. For now, I think I can try to be one. ;)

OOC: I think I'm at work too much, I've missed all this fun stuff. I feel like I'm not contributing enough, but here:
IC: Wotepchu's observations at the secret fish spot...

Wotepchu sat in a cool, muddy spot near the deep, cool water of the hidden-fish hole. The minnows somehow knew better than to swim near this darker-blue circle. The hole wasn't large, but a meaty-looking fish swam up for just a moment to grab a creepy-crawly that couldn't swim out. Its eyes weren't like Wotepchu's..or any other green skin's, and it had a couple more fins than the minnows did.

One of the slithering-animals-that-bites was basking in the sun not too far from the shady spot, and Wotepchu had a faint desire to tell the rest of the greenskins about this secret spot, but couldn't see any reason to share. He decided to watch the animals and enjoy a few more moments of peace before getting back to digging the water-road from the 'pond' to the fields. Just a few moments more... Mmmhmm. It's time to get to work. Wotepchu might fall asleep, then he wouldn't be any better than the lazy slitherer on that rock over there. Time to work!!

    Actions:

    1. Continue digging the irrigation channel
    2. Look for possibly-eatable plants near the river.

    Related:
While working, one of the lazier greenskins was talking about some sheep. Wotepchu hasn't seen any sheep, but if they're made of meat, it'd probably be worthwhile to try to catch some or something. Dig, dig, dig. Just keep digging.

Does spending time count as an action? If so, is it exclusive, or can it be combined with something else, like "Bring little Ugag with when chasing sheep"?
