Grant Park is just as the name implies, its a big open park a decent distance from the big buildings of the city proper. They're probably expecting an ENORMOUS flood of people. There will need to be facilities built, big time catering, and wiring an event of this magnitude promises to be pretty damned expensive. I don't know if the prices constitute overcharging, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're more or less in line with costs.
