Obama is a joke

No. No he hasn't. And this is from someone who is open to real, effective carbon taxation.

Hah! That's only joking! He has, and he works with the thing. He's trying to set a law of dropping less carbon oxide in the air, and that helps much. He does very much for doing this planet more environmental.

You seem to be using a strange definition of 'free'.

It is better for you that people must pay money for being nursed?

Speeches are meaningless when compared to action - and he fails to live up to his speeches with distressing frequency.

Speeches are not meaningless. He does what he promise in the speeches. And he doesn't fail with his speeches! A president can't be popular if he doesn't hold speeches. And to be a charismatic president helps much!

If this is his best, I'd hate to see the worst...

...

Do you think Palin and McCain had done it better? Have you any idea of what Obama could do for making the economy better? Any ideas, guys? ;)

The worst crisis seems to be over. He's really good to administrate. If McCain had won the elections, I think the worst crisis had been over after five or six years.

People feel more brave with Obama in the president office than a republican guy.

I think it wouldn't have made an ounce of difference who was making the speeches while the crisis unfolds. Meet the new boss, same as the almost boss.

Only difference that instead of a gaffe prone VP (who has been surprisingly light on gaffes, disappointingly even. I was relying on Biden for Comic Relief) you'd have a really embarrassing VP. McCain and Obama rate quite close with regard to competence in my book.

I see no reason why McCain wouldn't have went down the same path Obama is going now judging from the last few measures Bush took.

Throwing money from window to fat cats who failed with business is not original solution. Any politician would be able to do this.

Of course Obama is better than Bush. Read this, and you'll agree to me. :)
(...)
I manage to get through all this, and really feel the need of a drink, preferably a strong one. I regret to say that once again a compatriot of mine has caused me embarrasment.

Now I think you are joking.

And in any case, in my world accounting identities > visions. (see: the budget)

edit, for substance: The big test for Obama will be how he handles the fiscal and monetary wind-down in the coming years.
That's a peculiar attitude towards politics.

In conclusion, the right doesn't like him because he is a socialist; the left doesn't like him because he is a capitalist. Meanwhile, he enjoys great popularity both at home and abroad.

Excuse me Abraham Lincoln I fail to see how we will have "free" hospitals.

At home, his popularity is slipping (Sure, you can probably pass that off as the euphoria dying off, but still). Abroad? Well, I don't care what his image is abroad. I don't care what people in other countries think of him. Hell, I don't even care what other countries think of the U.S..

Be nice or America will bring democracy to your country next :nuke:

Back in the 1930s and 1940s, Germany didn't really care what other countries thought of it too.
