"Big Three" Morality Test

This version of the Moral Foundations Test condenses the six moral scales into the "Big Three" scales of Nurture, Tradition, and Liberty. The result is a more streamlined and manageable test than is usually seen with Moral Foundations, allowing for an easier overview and comparison with friends. The academic background of the Moral Foundations Framework is that social scientists such as Ravi Iyer and Jonathan Haidt argue that there are substantial variations in human morality and that these differences influence not just a person's decision making and reasoning processes but also their political outlook. By drawing on findings from their research, this test aims to give you your scores according to the Moral Foundations framework.

For each of the following items, indicate whether you think it's morally okay or not.

Your scores are:

Nurture 54.2%
Tradition 32.4%
Liberty 66.7%

Your strongest moral foundation is Liberty.

I am a very nurturing person and am an unabashed leftist-liberal, but I'm surprised at my low "liberty" score. I know I'm no libertarian, but wow!

In our "Big Three" Morality Test, Nurture is a composite of Care and Fairness:

Care: This foundation pertains to our mammalian need to care for our young and to form bonds of attachment to others. It underlies the virtues of kindness and nurturance and is tied to emotions such as protectiveness and compassion. Left-liberals typically score the highest on this dimension, conservatives the second-highest, and libertarians the lowest.
Fairness: This foundation pertains to our ability to maintain cooperative and mutually beneficial relationships. It underlies the virtues of honesty, justice, and dependability. It is tied to emotions such as gratitude, anger, and guilt. Left-liberals typically score higher on this dimension than conservatives and libertarians.

Left-Liberalism: Individuals in this group seek to uphold individual liberty while taxing the market to provide social benefits for those in need. They tend to see themselves as seeking balance between individual liberty and social justice and to be in favor of multiculturalism, secular government, and international cooperation. While they are typically skeptical of state involvement in social affairs, they nevertheless see a legitimate role for the state in combating discrimination and ensuring equal treatment. Left-Liberals typically have a Nurture-based morality.

Your scores are:
•Nurture 69.4%

•Tradition 45.4%

•Liberty 77.8%

Your strongest moral foundation is Liberty.
Your morality is closest to that of a Libertarian.

All seemed a bit USA-centric, so I guess my answers about how flags should be treated were probably interpreted as massively more indicative of radicalism than they actually are. And I have no idea what the difference between a liberal and a libertarian even is. So I guess we can just file this away in the "things to never think about again" box :)

Edit: I also thought at least 3 or 4 questions were poorly worded so it wasn't clear which of the two parties you were meant to be evaluating, or were poorly chosen situations which could have been "OK" or "Not OK" depending on how you looked at it. Also... what's wrong with "Good" and "Bad"?
