Amazing! It’s finally happened! For so long people have been asking for official HD remasters of the original classic Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness RTS games but we heard and got nothing other than a not so great Reforged remaster of Warcraft 3. A couple of years back I posted on my blg about some great fan projects enhancing and remaking Warcraft 2 because we still had no official news, until now! Blizzard have not only done a HD remaster of Warcraft 2 with it’s addon Beyond the Dark Portal but also remastered the original Warcraft 1 Orcs & Humans as well (modern controls yes please!) and even had another go at the Warcraft 3 remaster fixing many of the issues with Reforged. They’ve brought back their good old battle chest pack system (digital only though which is a shame as I have all the original physical ones) and released them over on battle net. The new graphics have got a mixed reaction so far but thankfully you can apparently switch to classic graphics and the original versions of the games are also included in the pack too.
