Official War Poll - German Ojectives 1360-1500

This is the official poll, as we need to see if this is an unfair poll.
I will poll the fates of the target cities in a separate poll, as we are not allowed to poll different topics in the same poll. This poll will only handle the target cities within the specified turnchat period.

There has been posted strategy discussions and an advisory poll, see links:

I have tried to exfiltrate some inputs from the citizens, and since Methos will play on friday, all I can do is to offer a series of 2 day polls.

This is a public poll, lasts 2 days and simple plurality wins, since there is a spread in support this time.

Options are, ranked from the most passive option to the more active option, with a coding referring to a player arguing/voting for that option:

1. Delay attack on Cologne until next turnchat (Daveshack)
2. Attack Cologne this turn (Falcon02)
3. Attack Cologne and Dortmund this turn (Provolution)
4. Attack Cologne, Dortmund and Stuttgart this turn (Dutchfire)

If this poll is not accepted, no instructions will be posted for attack this TC.

My strategy is to delay capture of Cologne until next turnchat. That would have been revealed by another 2-3 posts worth of discussion. What to do? I honestly don't know. :dunno:

Wow, wow, wow, where did I say I wanted to attack three cities this TC?

I'd focus on Cologne and Stuttgart, but since that option isn't present, I voted Cologne only.

No worries good Dave, that is a matter of semantics. The attack and conquest will most likely be in the same turn, or in two consecutive turns.

I had to post the polls now, as I am going with a friend to have beer. He just got into a real war academy, and that is to be celebrated.

I looked into the save, and I saw that we are to have the courthouses ready in about 9-10 turns. This means that we need to be cautious with Cologne.
Also, even though it does not have a hill. I would recommend to bring in catapults and fire it down a bit, I am not certain about the defenders yet.

I also plan to send two Iron Forces, each Iron Force will block their two irons, first capture, then hold. I will not pillage these, as we already will control them directly, so that we can use the mines as soon as the cities are ours.

For Cologne, I intend to send the four Axemen in Berlin, the Maceman in Munich, as well as two city raider specialists from Berlin.

For the Tartar Iron, I intend to send three macemen, these will later be part of the Tartar siege and assault force.

For the Essen Iron, I intend to send three macemen as well, these will later be part of the Frankfurt siege and assault force.

All Keshiks (pillagers and so on) will go to Cumae, as the Romans are the only ones having cavalry but us in this world, so I intend to put the keshiks there. I will also send the Macemen "Steedstoppers", since their Formation promotion only makes sense against the Romans. With the Trunketeers, this would be a good bulwark defense in Cumae.

For the Berlin garrison, I intend to have only two macemen left, as we need to conquer the Germans in detail. The Chichen Itza defense bonus will make this city safe, unless the Romans surprise us with a huge stack.

I intend to send the Boyar Trickriders up to Dortmund, just to see the place, and in general scout for stray Germans and assess city garrisons.

Pillaging the Iron (or the roads leading to it) is very important!

We already did pillage the roads leading to it. Now, I intend to occupy the iron mine, with no roads attached, so we will see to that no German fix it and that we need no work to rebuild the mine. We can deny it, yet retain the mine.

From memory, Cologne only had about 3 defenders (i would plan for 4 defenders)

Well, we have all the stormer series units, as well as Khans Surgeons and so on. I would say 2-3 catapults and 6-7 city raider macemen would do the job nicely.

I just revised the plan, sending the axemen to seize the two iron tiles.
