So today I have class from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (EST), and then work at 5:00 until 11:00 PM. I have a 40 minute gap between two of my classes - a gap I need to utilize to study for the test in that class. However, I go outside, and bell music is playing. It was Civilization 4 music. So I say, "Screw the test!" and go to begin my epic adventure that is Civilization 5! ... Only to find out that there's a ~30 minute download. My estimated time to finish? 12:20... ten minutes before the class I have my test in :(.

You're tearing me apart, Civilization 5!

Watch, once it downloads it probably won't even work...

But at least I'm able to get it on the 21st :) (I know, I'm mean - but being teased makes me need to tease others).

I'm in the same boat. I picked my copy up from the GameStop on my college's campus at 10:30. I have class from 11-12:15. I got to the library to install the game and maybe play for an hour before my 2 pm class only to discover that when I'm in Windows (I have a MacBook and only use Windows for games), I can't connect to the school's wifi network to authenticate the game. I don't have an ethernet cable, either. So it's 1 pm, I have class from 2 to 3:15, and then I get to go home and install it on my 24" iMac and play until 7 pm tomorrow. The wait is killing me, I'm tempted to blow off that class and go home now.

I have the disc in my drive but have to wait another few hours to be able to do anything with it. Harumph.

Not without hope we suffer and we mourn. We only feel so teased because we love Civilization so much. I'm currently waiting on a monstrous 1GB download (I have the Special Edition) inbetween classes. The way it's shaping up it looks like it'll be done just before I have to go back to class. Ah, well. The wait only makes the final realization all the sweeter...

Assuming my laptop can run it well, of course. :mischief:
