Hmm... and all this time Luftwaffe has meant Lead-weapon. No wonder the Nazis lost the air war early on... ;)

It was pretty clear you understood, but I thought the ignorant masses could use some education.

I'd pick one of Michael Jackson's songs, pity no one remembers them.

Sure we do, they're just not one hit wonders. "Thriller" was definitely the best.

Right Said Fred to me is the best example of a one-hit wonder. I'm ashamed to say that I've actually karaoke'd that song.

One-hit wonders are one-hit wonders for a reason. Some on the list are just over played at the time. People just got tired of hearing these songs. Dancing the Macarena died along with the song. These bands can't be a one-trick pony if they don't want to be a one-hit band.

Of the ones listed, "Bittersweet Symphony", because it is the 'proggiest'. Sad thing is, they didn't make a penny off the song because supposedly deep in the mix is the bass line from the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time".

Jagger and Richards couldn't make "Bittersweet Symphony" if their lives depended on it :gripe:

Most of these songs suck, but there's a few good ones. Tough to make the call for the best, but I went with Nena '99 Luft Balloons' - that's a classic. Kind of surprised it's the most popular choice though.

The other notables are Cherry Poppin' Daddies ("Zoot Suit Riot") - though these guys had more than one hit, Afroman ("Because I Got High"), Jesus Jones ("Right Here, Right Now"), Deep Blue Something ("Breakfast At Tiffany's") - most people seem to hate this one, but I liked it enough to watch the movie, The Verve ("Bittersweet Symphony"), Soft Cell ("Tainted Love") - Marilyn Manson's version is good too.

First, I'm strictly an 80s man.

Well, I went into my music filefolder, to browse some 1-hit wonder candidates, and since their in alphabetical order, 'A-Ha' (Take on me) caught my eye first, so...

But, there's so many. What about *finds a link* this chick? I can't remember her having another big hit.

Also, I might add 867-5309/Jenny - by Tommy Tutone.

Actually, looking down the 'Like, Omigod!' 80s pop collection track listing here, I could go on and on...! There's just too many. I think I'll just... go... listen to them instead. :p

    Ah, the 80s....

Deep Blue Something? Aqua? What is wrong with you, Will?

    Two words: Louie Louie.

You couldn't find another Kingsmen song if your life depended on it.
