Online games and firewalls...

On my laptop I am not able to host online games unless it's LAN. Even with all firewalls turned off, I simply can't. Neither can my friend on his laptop. I get on GameSpy Arcade (yes, I know it has spyware) and it says I have a proxy and/or firewall. I turned them all off!! And I don't know how to turn off a router's firewall.. It's when I play Star Wars Galactic Battleground and others where I get on GameSpy or Microsoft Zone. I really want to play with my friend without having to visit him in person, but it won't let me. Help please. Thanks!

I wouldn't completely turn off your firewall for any game.

I turn mine off. Most of the time I forget to turn it back on again too.
