Open SG Germans correct starting positions on World map

Um, yeah, that about sums it up.

N.B. Difficulty no lower than regent. Also, we could take away the yanks, aztecs and iroquios (or howsoever you spell it) to emulate european colonisation of the Americas and of course Australia (which should be a civ if you ask me. In my opinion Australia.....). Tell me if you like it.

I'd like to play, been playing a lot of world map games lately with Marla's map, Romans and Germans. It would be interesting to actually get to colonize North America.

One suggestion:

Leave Iroquois and Aztec in North America. I agree the Americans could be left out in 4000 BC, but why the others?

America was occupied by those tribes since the Ice Age over 10,000 years ago. There were lots of people here when colonists arrived in the 15th Century.

Sorry I've been a while. I'm having incredible difficulty loging in. Righto, I'm starting with the aztecs and irisomething. We should have fun pacifying the barbarian natives. :tank: !

Erm, call me stupid and absent minded after you've read this, but I spent the time I had on the computer trying to run the correct starting positions for Marla's map, but for some reason when I tried to play the game it crashed, over and over again.

Now, what I didn't notice is that I was running the wrong scenario. Oops! (starts whistling in an offhanded manner..) Sorry guys! I wasted all my time trying to work out what was wrong! Doh!

Now it's Monday here and I expect I'll be tied down with homework till thursday, so why doesn't EmprorCoopinius start (he has the map) then civantor, myself, joe then xrang.

We'll play either Monarch or regent, that's all I feel capable of. Let The Game Begin!

Alright, here we go, on Regent level. I played 30 turns to get us going. My first succession game, so be kind. =)

4000 BC - The German tribesmen band together and found a new city, Berlin. The leader of the new nation is a despot, ruling with an iron fist, King Freidrich von Cooper. After the new city's most learned men are gathered, research is begun on iron working.
Our worker begins a road to a nice city site in Denmark

3850 BC - first warriors leave Berlin and head north into Denmark, another unit is ordered by the king.

3650 BC - Second warrior unit is mustered, leaves Berlin and heads west. A spearman unit is begun.

3450 BC - contact with the French in our west. Joan of Arc is ploite, but unbending concerning technology trades, so the King sends her emissary away quickly.

3350 BC - first spearman unit is complete in Berlin, production changed to settler.

3200 BC - A friendly Angle tribe teaches us of ceremonial burial. The Romans contact us about trading it, and we do, trading the tech and 12 gold for alphabet. The Romans are cautious towards us.

3150 BC - contact with the English, trade them ceremonial burial and 3 gold for pottery.

3050 BC - settler finished in Berlin, heads north into Denmark. Berlin begins building a temple.

3000 BC - friendly Marcomanni teach us about masonry.

2900 BC - Leipzig founded, begins producing a spearman.

2850 BC - Our warrior angers some primitive Angle tribes, but defeats three untis without a scratch and becomes Elite.

2800 BC - road to Leipzig completed, new Eastern Way being cut outside Berlin.

2750 BC - the loyal German people expand His Majesty's palace.

2710 BC - King Friedrich von Cooper dies suddenly while in Berlin. The nation mourns, but also looks for a new leader in these unsure times.

T2 2590 b.c.- nothing

T3 2550 b.c.-french settle orleans outside of berlin's borders, we get mysticism, found russia

T4 2510 b.c.- lepzieg finishes barracks, temple ordered
