Opening Clip

Sorry if this has been addressed before,

is there anyway to disable the Opening Movie clip? i.e. just get to the menu? I keep trying to click it, but I guess my computer is too slow?


btw, I got this thing to work on my tiny Sony VAIO TT -- which I thought would never happen! of course I had to set it to all of the minimum settings, but still, I'm loving it.

I haven't played a long game yet but at least it loads and keep my fingers crossed.

From teh Tech Supprt FAQs:

Q.) How do i skip the opening video?

A.) Go to "My Documents\My Games\Sid Meiers Civilization 5\" and open usersettings.ini in Notepad. About 15 lines down you will find "SkipIntroVideo = 0". Make this value 1 (to skip the intro movie)

It still won't be a quick load, unfortunately, as the game is actually loading during the intro movie. You'll be staring at a black screen for a little while, but I feel that it is slightly quicker w/o the movie
