Just wanted to let those of you that use Opera but switch back to IE to check your gmail account. I downloaded Opera 7.60 Preview 3 and while it doesn't complete support (clicking backpage button doesn't seem to work) you can still check and send emails.

Yeah, it's been like that since 7.60 Preview 1. Still, I'm waiting until the final release for all the bugs and all to be worked out. And I really don't mind using Firefox to check Gmail - it's better than IE>

@awb: In one situation. :p

@hbd88: Yeah, I still have to use Opera 7.54 at work since 7.60p3 doesn't seem to want to use the proxy servers we use at work - I can get to intranet sites but not internet sites.

Hmm, firefox has supported a gmail extension for months that automatically alerts you when you have mail. So firefox > opera.
Hmmm, you're right. Gmail uses a proprietory, non-standard method of encryption and logging in (which is only supported by IE and Mozilla, not the old Netscape, Lynx, or other readers). Damn Opera for not supporting every proprietory method! And for all the webmasters who purposefully use Opera sniffers to send Opera a limited or messed up page! It's Opera's fault that it can't destroy these sniffers! :rolleyes:

If you hate Opera so much, then why do you use it? :p
