Had this problem ever since I installed,
If I go into options and change any of the settings they will all return to "default" if i reload Civ4
this also applys if I try and change the graphic details to medium or low, it will ask me to restart Civ4 for the settings to be applyed, but once i reload Civ4 the setting will still be set on high and all other options will be once again at default.
If anyone can help me here, that would be great as it is a pain to have to change the setting each and every time I want to play Civ4 (which is quite a lot

Perhaps if anyone could tell me which file and where the option are saved to and/or how i can change them outside of the game?
also is there any solution to "running out of video memory" - in large, late era games ?
there is a couple of saves that i want to continue playing but are unplayable due this error ( which i hope changeing the graphic settings might fix )
