I have orange puddles around 2 mines. Is this pollution? How do I take care of it?

Sounds like it. To get rid of it, move workers to those squares and press "clean up pollution (or damage)."

As G.O said, it is Pollution, and to remove it, you have to move workers there and select "Clean Up Damage".

This can sometimes be caused by volcanoes, and don't try and move a worker there to try and clean it up because he'll get owned. Actually happened today
