    Would you mind if I asked for an improved map generator? The current one seems to have similar effects to the Fantasy generator, which I really don't like, and has far too many scrub patches on just about every setting. A good looking map comes pretty close to making or breaking a mod for me, next to graphics/mechanics, and the provided generator is really bad.

    Speaking of maps OV, how difficult would it be to create a scenario using the GEM 50 civ DLL from the maps dl section? I know you use a lot of custom stuff in your mod, so was wondering how hard it would be to incorporate it for your mod.

    Have you tried downloading the scenario: Earth 217x119 (Revised) v2 ?

    The scenario appears to work OK with OGI.

    Well, I have out done myself. The next release will include the following:

    1. An SDK version of the strength promotion, which carries over when a unit is upgraded. :dance:

    2. An XML combat type bug fix.

    3. I'm sure there will be more...

    Got another old bug to re-report.

    Playing my current game, it seems my barracks keeps "disappearing" from my capital city. I don't know what is triggering it. I am not sure if it's a random event that is not displaying that destroys a building, espionage, or what. I get no message and I only notice it when I build a soldier and he doesn't have the experience points I expect.

    It's frustrating since I depend heavily on experienced troops early in the game to fend off barbarians and, early in the game, it's not a quick build.

    Let me know if you find anything.

    I have not been able to reproduce a problem where the barracks disappears from the capital city. The only thing I can think of that would cause this effect is if you lost or razed a city that had the Art of War great wonder. Art of War provides a free barracks in all of your cities. Can you isolate the turn where you experience this problem?

    I cannot isolate it or reproduce it in any way. I have no idea what is triggering it. I don't raze cities and, in my last game, I had no wonder built so it wasn't losing a "free" building. Only thing I can think of is an espionage mission that destroys a building or a random event neither of which gives me a warning message that it happens. The only times I notice it is when I am training soldiers and they are produced without the exp they are supposed to get. It seems to be primarily in the early game.

    Do the barbarians do espionage attacks in the early game? In the last game, I had no contact with any other civs at that point.

    Hope you can find it.

    Try disabling Random events and see if the problem disappears.

    A request to put in,

    In the later stages of the game, when you take over an enemy city size 80+, I notice it takes like 20-30 turns before you finally get to control it. I sometimes wonder if it's better to raze it and just build a new one. Of course, if it has a wonder, it's less of an option.

    The Great Artist has an ability to clear this. Think you could make a buildable unit with the same ability? No need to do mass amounts of culture, just a little to clear the disorder. The religion missionaries might be the best to do this since they have little other function and are limited in number.

    Just a thought.

    Discussions are underway about how to increase the usefulness of Law Enforcement units; promotions etc. Preventing disorderly conduct seems to be an appropriate capability for Law Enforcement units.

    I keep forgetting to mention this;

    I re-downloaded the entire mod and patch to make sure I got all your changes.
    However, when I start up the mod, I get an error message relating to the Promotion_Herbal_Cures XML. Has this been an issue? I didn't go through the entire thread to find it yet.

    The EXE file download does not require the patch; the EXE installer is all you need. In fact, the patch and the zip file are both obsolete, due to the success of the installer. Starting with version 3.03, each release will have a new version number: 3.03, 3.03A, 3.03B, etc.
