He Fanatics! Did you saw that Expansionistic trait now have two opcional techs on the begening of the game, one is Masonry and the other is Pottery.
So we have for:
Scientific trait - Bronze Working
Religious trait - Ceremonial Burial
Seafaring trait - The Alphabet
Agriculture trait - Pottery
Expansionistic trait - Masonry and Pottery
Militaristic trait - Warrior Code and The Wheel
Industrious trait - Masonry
Commercial trait - The Alphabet and ???

If you see Seafaring have the some tech that Commercial, so the first question is: who get the 2nd tech?
Now, I think the Commercial trait will be the one. We know it starts with The Alphabet, but what will be the 2nd tech option???

For all you know, Agricultural might have the option of Pottery or Masonry

I'm sure England (commercial, expansionist) will have their old techs (Pottery and Alphabet)

I don't know!
If you see the Hittites preview, you see that Exp. trait is change (and the are the some traits of old- England).

What was different with the Hittites?

As for England, see the post above (although they are now Commercial, Seafaring, which pretty much start with the same tech).

I think I miss wire myself. But I swear I saw Masonry and The Alphabet.

Correction: Pottery not Masonry...

But if you see the Incas there is Masonry

The Incas are Agricultural, Expansionist

Both Agr and Exp start with Pottery, so they gave the Inca Masonry and Pottery.

There is no fixed tech that goes with a given trait. This is just a convention. You can set the starting techs to anything you like in the editor.

I know, but the techs given out are almost exclusively based on the trait. (anyone else getting deja vu?)
