out of memory when I install patch

I have installed the game and it works fine but when I try to install the latest patch I get out of memory.

Out of memory, or out of storage space on your hard drive?

What are your system specs (processor type & speed, amount of ram, OS, HD capacity, available HD space)?

Out of memory, I have vista32, 4 GB memory 35GB memory left on my harddrive and some quad processor.

I may be able to give more precise information later today.

I saw the post about 7-Zip. I might try that tonight.

4 GB should be more than enough physical memory for running the patcher. If you can run Civ4 then the patcher should run too, as it uses less memory than the game. Please post a screenshot of the error message that occurs, or copy it down and post the details.

That is if I run it in the command prompt, if I try to start it in explorer it just flashes. Probably displays the same message then close down before I'm able to read it.

I downloaded the file again and now it worked.
