what type of attachement is it?
If its a picture, you can probably shrink it, and I find JPG is the best for pictures...

A common strategy is to make a free account at file planet or some such website that allows large file uploads, upload there, and link here.

If the file is less than 5Mb you could also select quick links menu at the top of the forum page and select upload file. It may take a bit of time as there is no status indicator to tell you its uploading so be patient. Then use the link to that file.

go to 3Ddownloads upload section and upload it. I have cable internet and my mod takes like 20 minutes to upload so be patient. Then it has to go through approval, so i noticed its better to upload on the weekdays.
