By using winmx and napmx, you get the functionality of winmx with the huge list of reliable servers from napigator. I highly recommend napigator also, if you still must use Napster (2 beta 9.6 or lower), it allows you to use napster to connect to a wide range of opennap servers. Im attaching a screenshot of winmx running wpnp AND connected to 35 servers. Napigator also displays useful stats like bandwidth, # of files, # of users, and global ranking for servers.

I didn't like WinMx very much. I have tried a lot of them and I like the combination approach better. I use Direct Connect (did you know about DC++ scorch?) for games and movies, Kazaa for music and sometimes movies, and Hotline for pinpoint files (meaning, I allow friends to get stuff from me b/c it is basically like an FTP server, plus I know of certain places where I can get a reliable connection and will be able to finish my download).

How do I justify my DLing stuff? B/c if I like it I will buy it, and I have purchased it. The only thing I haven't been able to find that I play often is BOTF.

Direct Connect is the only way to fly.

Wow, and Blue shows his ugly face! ;) Hey there stranger. Do you ever use Hotline, Blue?

Anybody uses eDonkey? That's quite great too. Plus there are original features, such as simultaneous downloading different part of file, once you download from someone, he/she can't kick you... That's pretty good sharing file tool too. I think it belongs to the best trio: HL/DC/eDonkey.

PH: most of hub ops hate people using DC++ because it's not from NeoModus, and if you use this you can cheat, so as soon as an op discovers you, you get your ip banned. Since yours is a static one, you'll be in the s** ;) And trust me, I talked to an op, he says DC++ users are spotted quite quickly since their client f*** up the hub...

I never used Hotline, but I was using kazaa for a little while after the napster demise. It was OK, but it's just a napster clone that lets you get files other than mp3. DC on the other hand is nothing like Napster or it's clones.

I will however say that kazaa was a million times better than those pieces of munky spunk Bearshare and Limewire.

I haven't been cummin round lately because my picturesque beauty has surpassed even my own expectations and I don't want to make anyone here on the forums feel outclassed by the oh-so-erogenous good looks of BlueMonday.

ive been using winMX for about half a year now. its really great, hard to find music videos though. good porno selection too:goodjob: ;)

As i posted it earlier ,here's the link to the site i took that chart of:

www.zeropaid.com

it's a rather good site ,they have about everything you wan't to know on file sharing program's ,and although it isn't perfect (the review score's some user's give to some program's are clearly one -sided) it's IMHO about the best file sharing portal i know on ther internet.

i´ll get my ip number changed this week so maybe i should use this opportunity to some dirty things.:mwaha:

I have never been able to connect to any of the eDonkey servers and to tell you the truth I haven't tried very hard.

Yeah, I ran into getting banned from a StarTrek place once. The guy told me I had kiddy porn. I asked him where, he told me the names of the files. They were named Teen, duh, that means 18-19, or basically just young looking. He told me that he would DL them and check it out. I said, no don't worry about it, here is my ip, ban me I could care less about your sorry ass server. I tried it a few days later to see if he did, and yep, the bastard did. :D
