paint programs

i am looking for a more advanced paint like program, so if any of you have suggestions please let me know thanks!

If you don't want to pay anything try GIMP (See this thread). Never tried it personally but it sounds pretty good, especially for the price tag.

Otherwise look at Photoshop, PaintShopPro, etc.

If you want to view almost anything, try IrfanView. It's small and light, but you can view almost anything with it.

Are you looking for a program to edit pics or just view/resize (etc) them?

im looking for a program where you can do all things that paint can do and more. so i think i would need something where i can edit images. PS the GIMP did not install i cannot figure out why
