Well, I'm going off Civ again. I go through phases where I'll play it constantly for a month or so and play it to death (or at least to my own satiation), then leave it for a year while I cool off. At least during this phase I actually joined the forums. And glad I did, it's a very helpful community. You guys rock
As a parting recommendation, you all really ought to read the book "The Rise and Fall of the British Empire" by Lawrence James. Makes an excellent accompaniment to playing Civ. You really get to see the historic basis for things like vassal states and colony costs and tech leading. (and no I am not in any way affiliated with the book).
