Password?

I was curious, is their a way to password your Civ for DirectIP games. I know you can do it for PBEM games but when I try to set a password for DirectIP games, their is not an option to do it because the Password box is greyed out. The reason I want to password them is cause I don't want others loading a game and checking my civ and others. If this question has been answered before, I aploigize but the search function doesn't work so I couldn't check if it was asked.
