Hi,

I noticed this in a game I am currently playing.

In screenshot 1, Pacal has positive 3659 GPT and in screenshot 2, on the same turn, you can see Ramkhamhaeng has negative 3357 GPT.

I'm guessing Ramkhamhaeng is paying Pacal for something (possibly a peace treaty), but either way, I know Ramkhamhaeng doesn't have 3000+ GPT to pay with as I've been checking the AIs gold for trade deals quite frequently and I've never seen him with more than 150 GPT at most so far.

Anyway, this looks like a bug to me and one that could seriously mess up games as in this case, Pacal's AI will now be in receipt of over 3k gold per turn for potentially 45 turns (I'm playing on Epic) so he could end up getting over 135,000 gold, essentially from nowhere, in a relatively short period of time.

I can upload a save game or three if people think that would be helpful.

Do you happen to have a save from just before this triggered?

I went back through the autosaves and found where things go wrong.

Autosave 293 (starts turn 294) Everything looks OK, Ramkhamhaeng has +150gpt.
Autosave 294 (starts turn 295) Ramkhamhaeng suddenly has +21,825gpt.
Autosave 295 (starts turn 296) Ramkhamhaeng has -3465gpt, seemingly having given 3k+gpt to Pacal on the AI turns and having lost his 21k+gpt.

These three saves seem to document the problem, but if you need more, let me know.

Thanks for these. The bummer is that it doesn't reproduce progressing in-game from 293 to 294.

So, if I had loaded up 293, I could have (potentially) progressed in the game without the problem occurring?

If that's the case, maybe it's my hardware at fault, rather than any coding error? My CPU is overclocked by 33% after all, so maybe it's not as stable as I thought?

Oh well, thanks for looking at it anyway! Thank you for continuing to help make Civ5 a great game! :)

It's not your hardware but definitely just a rare bug. Images of this have often been posted on reddit (though the posts are usually named unclearly so it's hard to find them). This or this are two examples which happen to be Hiawatha in both cases, but I've seen other civs get posted too.
