Pax Nova (Civ, SMAC, MoO, BE, GalCiv like hybrid game)

Has anyone tried this yet?

It appears to a combination of Civ6 with it's hex map, 1 UPT and districts, and Galactic Civilizations main hex space map, exploration etc.

Wow.. check this one out @The_J ! It kinda looks like some sort of Civ, Alpha Centauri, and Master of Orion (and maybe Beyond Earth & Galactic Civilizations) hybrid game in that you build ships and explore space but go down to the surfaces of different planets to build cities and armies. I used to dream of such crazy hybrid games as a kid. Graphics look impressive however the mixed reviews are worrying ie lots of bugs, no updates in a while and allegedly the sole developer has a history of abandoning his unfinished games. Such a shame... although some people are giving it good reviews so I might keep an eye on it. It also has a bunch of DLC that seems to add more planets and factions to the game that have a few good reviews so maybe they help?

Ahh this is interesting.. someone just told me that those awesome guys at eXplorminate did a 'reXamination' of Pax Nova earlier this year and apparently its not perfect but with the DLC and patches it's a pretty decent game these days. And that a final patch that fixes some of the final bugs is still being quietly worked on but with no guarantee it'll ever get finished and released (presumably as the game is not making money due to the rough release).
