Peer Problems? Ask Ma Bell ... sometimes

Peer problems? Have your phone company check their (outside) wiring! Mine did, they said they didn't find anything wrong, but when they left, my on-line bandwidth (on Earthlink DSL, which subcontracts their home connections to Verizon) was 14X faster! Best of all, it's a free check you probably ought to perform once in awhile anyway.

Be sure you ask them to check *only* their equipment, or you may incur a hefty repair/service charge.
