Person Dying From Pin

Just watching the end of Kiss of the Dragon and for those that havnt seen it, Jet li puts a needle in the back of someones neck and then said person dies. He says that it causes all the blood to rush to his head or something along them lines.

Well my question is, could you actually kill someone by putting a pin into the back of their neck-its a small one here so not some giant pin

i know nothing about the human body (except that i live in one) but i just assume that its something that the film makers have made up.

like in kill bill 2, the bride kills bill with something called a four finger fire punch (its called something like that), which is when she touched apparently "four pressure points around the heart" which causes the heart to explode. and then, on the victim's fifth step, he dies. you never know, it might be true.

i wish filmmakers wouldnt think we are idiots.

Even so. How and why would all the blood rush to your neck? It wouldn't fit. And you couldn't bleed to death through a hole that size.

The only way I could see a sharp pin killing someone in that area is if it was used against the brain stem. But the OP scenario doesn't seem feasible.

Well, since Pingu is made of plastecine, he would probably be left with a really nasty scar, or even a hole in his head, if that pin got to him

That should be more than enough to pierce the spinal cord, which should be pretty dangerous, at least.
