In the old forum format, there was a personal mail or messge section. I have not found such an area now. How do I send a PM in this new format? Also, is there a way to attach a file to the PM? I want to send a pdf to another member.

At the top right of your screen, hover over the Inbox. It will open a menu allowing you to see your recent PMs and to start a new 'Conversation' with someone. It possesses an upload feature.

It does not possess a BCC feature, though, so if you send a message to multiple people at once, there's no way to make any of if private.

There's also no way to organize or download any of the messages. Whoever designed this feature is a first-class idiot.

There's an upload feature? I can't find it and I've tried a couple of times to send large chunks of source code to mod collaborators. I've had to resort to Hotmail.

Right next to the "Start a Conversation" button on the edit screen there should be a button called "Upload a File".

I think it's ridiculous that we don't have BBC, can't sort messages into folders, and can't PM ourselves (was very handy for keeping notes).

I'm not seeing this on my end. I expect, like Lemon, we are having an issue with permissions or something

I'd assumed up to this point that the feature was just not available, but I have wanted to upload stuff to conversations in the past.

I don't see it either. Maybe it's a usergroup thing that didn't get enabled for everyone?

As several of you noted, the permission to upload a file in a Conversation was not granted to most members.. I gave the necessary permission to everyone in the 5 day/5 post group. Everyone in that group (which includes most members) should now see an "Upload a File" button in conversations. Please post here if you run into any problems. Thanks to all who pointed this out.

Yes, it's there for me now. Thanks, Petek!
