• Paradox Games has announced today their new game “Millennia”, a semi-historical turn-based 4X game. Find out more here .

PHs: AW SG: Rise of the Queen Mother!

I played but imageshack ain't workin and I can't attach attachments! So, first step i did was set waypoints for all of our cities so that I only need to manually click the redcoats we've already completed. Also, i merged our GE into Paris for the extra 3h's ~ that made 4 cities that were getting 26hpt, not too bad.

And, so, down to the task at hand ~ which I will wait to post about until pics are working.

eh...i don't think i have an ftp transfer program anymore ~ perhaps if this keeps up for more than a couple hours ~

Google Filezilla, it's free.

Edit: Alternately, zip the images, email to me, and I'll upload them for you.

To, review, I merged the GE:

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;

Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock

O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!

Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,

And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Vicky, England, and Saint Pholk!'

Well, so, you can't edit in screenies....

So, that's that!!

A truly excellent experience with some great team-mates! :goodjob:

Now, let's mop up over in the SGOTM ~ :D

Major Benson Winifred Payne: General, are you telling me that nowhere in the military is there any longer a job for trained human weapons of destruction such as myself?

Gen. Decker: Most blood is now shed in the halls of Congress, Payne. Guys like us are becoming dinosaurs.

Major Benson Winifred Payne: General, surely there must be SOMEBODY left who needs some killing, or some killing done for them.

Gen. Decker: Sorry, Major. There's nobody left. You've killed them all.

Well done all. I'll admit, I was very pessimistic about this game near the beginning. Gentle it weren't. Builder turns were tossed aside like Britney Spears after motherhood. Thus proving that units, units, and more units will surely conquer all.

Thanks to all of you guys - it was a great game and an experience I will remember with a smile. It was a lot of fun playin' with you guys ! We are one of the very rare groups that have actually won an Always War Pangea game. True Elite ! :D ;)

On behalf of all lurkers out here, I have to ask, how did General Beast fare in the wash up? Did he hit 100xp?

Unfortunately no :(. I believe he was in the mid-eighties though, we also had another war elephant reaching 50 XP(General Zen). That was without much doubt my 2 highest xp units in any of my games so far.

That's the infamous General taking teotihuacan above. He would've been more involved in the end of Monty, but he was just too slow :)

@ quack ~ they certainly were the highest units i've had so far as well

I think, prior to this game, my highest XP unit were in the 27 - 35 range. Having one in the 80s and another in the 50s in the same game is, frankly, amazing.

Edit: @Pholk, do you have a copy of the save just before victory? I'd like to add it to my HoF.

i think if you run the replay you should get it, right??

the point is, i don't think that i do have one, but i'll check my autosaves. I only played 6 turns total, so it won't be too hard to recreate our win. I didn't know anybody else wanted it; i thought i was the only one...sorry :blush:

off-topic:

You're all invited!!

The replay does not add to the HoF. I just watched it. Man, Monte got sooooooo hosed this game. If he had switched places with Kahn, we might have gotten hurt a lot more than we did.
