Play as Japan start in Japan

Hi

Is it possible if i play as Japan i can start in Japan's actual location on the world map or if i play as Germany i actually start in Germany on the world map? I can't see the option to do this?

I'm still only on the demo, but i think its not possible without using a scenario editor, which as far as I know hasn't been released yet.

Ok,thanks for your help.I would've liked to have played with all countrys in corect locations.Hopefully it is possible sometime in the future.

Someone has created a scenario set already with all civs and city states in their correct start location. However I don't think they've reconfigured the resources to put them in the right place.

Doing this takes time to work out the kinks. Starting places and starting resources and even surrounding resources can be (and have been in the past) very difficult to perfect. Earth map scenarios were being perfected all through the Civ4 generation.

Why would we? We know that Civ V is easily modable and the critics can tailor it to suit their needs.

There is already a 'stack of doom' mod.

True start location Earth maps have been on the mod hub for hours!
