It may be a second leader, from Portuguese perspective, Brazil and Portugal (Brazil), since Grand Father and Father of Pedro II were kings of Portugal and Brazil also, but Pedro was not, only Brazil.

Still to think about the new leader habilities...

João VI Teaser:
Spoiler :

D. João VI - The Clement
John VI was the son of Maria I and Pedro III. They called him the Clemente because he forgave all those who resorted to it and yet all were merciless to him, no one forgave him anything like he did. He died in 1826, suddenly. immediately it is suspected that the King had been assassinated. Modern forensic science leaves no doubt; the analysis of the remains revealed abnormally high concentrations and fatal arsenic. John VI was actually poisoned. The main suspect is the Queen Carlota Joaquina but for sure no one knows.

Also liberal historians didnt forgive him and today many Brazilian and Portuguese historians because he fled, because he was coward, because it had no personality, because was a glutton, etc.
It is still today a King treated unfairly ,treated and caricatured disparagingly on both sides of the Atlantic for some and yet he was a gifted personality of great good sense, great vision, great moderation, of great kindness.

His life and his reign were an ordeal. He found himself in the midst of the whirlwind of new ideas, own a new era that drew and that was sweeping Europe and even America. We saw crumbling a world he believed in and where he was born. he mother's illness, the French Invasions that they destroyed metropolitan Portugal, the withdrawal to Brazil, social convulsions, the Brazilian independence, extreme of entrre liberals and absolutists positions, the nefarious action of the ambitious Queen D. Carlota Joaquina that being radical and very foolish tormented him and hindered his action and his reign.

He saved when Portugal had to be saved and saved Brazil when it had to also, and today Brazil retains its national unity and is a great nation owes much to John VI thanks to its action prevented this numerous petty republics and to maintain its unity after independence, united by the cement of the Crown.
