Play by cloud games not appearing in "My Games" - too many active game modes?

So I've seen stuff about this before online and have been experiencing it for a little while. I noticed that some of the play-by-cloud games were appearing in the 'My Games' tab on play-by-cloud. The game sessions are still joinable by join code, but it appears as though they are less stable. I've seen people suggest it's due to particular settings so went looking for what might be a common link.

I hosted a series of games, all of them on GS with the same map size (large), default number of civs and city states, the default number of civ slots and 1 human (6 AI +1 Open + me = 8 total) players each time and default map settings but varying the additional game modes. I tried this with various QoL mods enabled or disabled and the mods didn't seem to make a difference. I tested that this bug was reproducible on my own system and noticed some of the trends from games (hosted by others) which did not appear in the My Games tab.


I have not tried this on another system so would very much appreciate if anyone else can try replicating this. The play-by-cloud game does not need to start to be saved in My Games. Once the settings and civs are selected, you can back out to the lobby and the game should be visible (or not...).

The thing that made a difference for me was which of the additional game modes were active. Specifically it seems like Barbarian Clans mode being active with two (or more?) other modes causes the game to be absent from My Games.

I tried a bunch of 2 or 3 mode combinations I've listed below and whether or not they appear in the My Games tab. I haven't tried an exhaustive combination as I confused myself enough doing these few and these are the ones I use most frequently so were the first I checked.

Combinations that DO appear in My Games:
Barbarian Clans + Monopolies and Corporations
Barbarian Clans + Apocalypse
Apocalypse + Monopolies and Corporations + Secret Societies

Combinations that DO NOT appear in My Games:
Barbarian Clans + Monopolies and Corporations + Secret Societies
Barbarian Clans + Apocalypse + Secret Societies
Barbarian Clans + Apocalypse + Monopolies and Corporations
Barbarian Clans + Apocalypse + Monopolies and Corporations + Secret Societies
