I thought I'd try this scenario out to see what it is about since I have been playing Civ3 a lot and with what is going on in the world today I thought it would be interesting.

I tried playing as the Palestinians and I didn't even get a chance to have a turn and Israel destroyed me. How F.....g pathetic is that. What an idiot this person is. I tried playing another Arab nation and still in the first turn I didn't have a turn and the stupid dumb f...k Israelis took over Palestine and destroyed them. How f.....g ridiculous is that.

Then I played as Israel and it started with my turn first. I had a look and saw how many units they had. There were hundreds of them.

I believe that this pathetic scenario should be taken off the scenario list as it is unplayable and totally c..p. What the point in playing a game when you don't even have a chance to have a turn before you are destroyed.

F......g p......d off.

this is from the opening text:

Easy: Westerners, Israelis. Challenging: Jordanians,
^^Syrians, Egyptians. Difficult: Lebanese. Impossible:
^^Palestinians.

The Palestinians are not meant for play :p

Ah, the old "When all else fails, read the instructions.":D

Well, dnassman, I'm sorry you feel that way. It is a primitive, and not very good scenario, I agree. Maybe I should have it removed, but please give me a chance to defend myself:

The Israel2000 scenario is one of the first scenarios I made with Fantastic World.

Now, I agree the Israelis are overrated, and it ruins much of the gameplay. BUT is the Israelis decided to crush the Palestinian Authority, it wouldn't take them a single day.

The Israel2000 scenario is not supposed to be a historical scenario, but an "Alternate history" scenario (What if?!...).

Civ2 is not suitable for depicting a conflict like the present Palestinian conflict, so you won't find a good scenario depicting that.

And BTW, dnassman, I've never seen a scenario with your name on it. And I find your statements quite impertinent.

I usually do not look through the "Civ2 General Discussions Forum" so I did not notice this post until now.

I am a Dane, if you're interested.

And, finally, I would like to inform you, that I am creating a series of scenarios, depicting the Independence War of 1948, The Suez Crisis of 1956, The Six-Day War of 1967, the Yom Kippur War of 1973, and the Invasion of Lebanon. They will be much more professional than the Israel2000 scenario, and I will not try to depict the current situation, since it is virtually impossible with Civ2 (not to be perceived as criticism of the best strategy game ever). The first two of that series is going through playtesting at present.

Thanks for explaining yourself Insurgent. I just get too worked up with everything that is going on in the world today to look carefully at the instructions. I think you had another scenario about the Middle East with the Gulf War which was really really good and I enjoyed playing it. I thought this one was going to be similar.

I just didn't like the fact that I couldn't play the underdogs and the Israelis had sooooo many units.

I have much respect for scenario makers as I simply could never find the time to play the game and build scenarios as well.

And yes I am an Arab who lives in Melbourne Australia. I just hate seeing more advanced nations belting up poor nations who just want their freedom. Sounds a lot like the what the Nazis did to the Jews now doesn't it.

Again sorry I took out my anger out on you Insurgent.

That's quite alright, but I would like to state my strong disagreement with your apparent opinions.
