They are seeing how to implement playing as a continuous civ... something that was asked for by some individuals on this forum. Can you name a few examples?
Actually, the post says that a continuous civ is a huge mistake and it was still implemented in contrast to what the topic is saying. They are seeing how to implement playing as a continuous civ... something that was asked for by some individuals on this forum.
There are other posts on this forum saying other things thoughActually, the post says that a continuous civ is a huge mistake and it was still implemented in contrast to what the topic is saying.
Arguably a Minority Opinion, though!Actually, the post says that a continuous civ is a huge mistake and it was still implemented in contrast to what the topic is saying.
SOME individuals asked for continuous civsActually, the post says that a continuous civ is a huge mistake and it was still implemented in contrast to what the topic is saying.
Wow, looks like this has become a reality. It goes to show how the inputs of individuals on this forum aren't really taken into consideration by the developers.
There is one thing that is just impossible: taking into consideration both inputs from individuals who are absolute opposites (implementing civ switching / not implementing civ switching).Actually, the post says that a continuous civ is a huge mistake and it was still implemented in contrast to what the topic is saying.
I see, so what you're saying is in other posts.SOME individuals asked for continuous civs
Others (like the OP) asked for no continuous civ.
Well when you take a brief look at the civ 7 general discussion forum, the post that we're currently in appears noticeably. All the other posts don't appear as obvious as this one. There is one thing that is just impossible: taking into consideration both inputs from individuals who are absolute opposites (implementing civ switching / not implementing civ switching).
How would that work in your mind?

Really? In general discussion? There are other posts on this forum saying other things though
No, I agree with you. Just a minor opinion.Arguably a Minority Opinion, though!
Well, there might be none explicitly titled "we want civ switching" because that demand is repeated all over the place in lots of other threads, even when they have nothing to do with this matter in the first place.Really? In general discussion?
No, we don't agree, there were polls about this, most people want an alternative to the current form of Civ Switching!Really? In general discussion?
No, I agree with you. Just a minor opinion.
I think only luca is still trying.I think the existence of this comparison proves that it makes zero sense to judge Civilization games by how "historical" they are.
No they didnt. The poll clearly shows a majority for hating Civ switching lol.No, we don't agree, there were polls about this, most people want an alternative to the current form of Civ Switching!
Note: civ switching is separate from age transition. Here, let's calculate where we stand on civ switching in particular

35% is not majorityNo they didnt. The poll clearly shows a majority for hating Civ switching lol.
Only ~35% of respondants to that poll say they hate civ switching and that it stops them from playing. Even adding in those who dislike it but not enough to stop playing, that's still only 47.9%; still not a majority. "Hate civ switching" having more respondants than any other one option does not mean that it's over a majority. No they didnt. The poll clearly shows a majority for hating Civ switching lol.
Also, the point stands thatNot a majority, but with 8% neutral the negative responses were a plurality. And the strength of feeling was stronger on the negative side - you were more likely to hate civ switching than mildly dislike. Support of civ switching was more lukewarm.
Also, the point stands that
1. a large number of individuals like civ switching
2. a large number of individuals do not like civ switching
Firaxis has listened to ALL of those individuals by looking at ways to make civ switches OPTIONAL. They are not looking at removing civ switches, just having the option for it.
Sounds like we need a poll for that! Now some individuals who like civ switches apparently think that option will make the game worse. But that seems like a much smaller group than those that just like civ switches.
When you add the 12% that said they dislike Civ switching, you get 47.9%.35% is not majority
