Please help to restore *.biq file.

Hi everyone! I have tried to save my *.biq scenario file when there was a very few space left on the hard drive. File appears to be saved but it is not possible to open it with any editor (i.e. Firaxis editor throws message "Not a valid Civ3 scenario file"). At the same time I have found on Disk C a file with a same name that my corrupted *.biq (*.biq was named All Unique Units.biq, new file was named AllUniqueUnitsbiq._) and a size of around 700 MB. Does anyone know if it contains the lost data from scenario file and if it's possible to restore it?

To clarify, is this the Steam version of Civ3 Conquests, or the CD version?

Although it does not matter since I am now continuing with a back-up.
