Please Help with Atlantis Scenario

Ok, on the Atlantis scenario, when you get the Dragon, Pheonix, Sphinx, etc etc. Is there any possible way to control them? Like...do i have to do all the story type missions for them and kill all of them to be able to use them. Plz help

I doubt many people have played the scenario.

I'll move it over to Scenario Creation and see if it has better luck there.

sorry, I have played almost all CiC and FW scenarios; unfortunately not Atlantis
If you are interested, I could play it next week and then help you.

I'm not supprised about the boring remark. With new discoveries on how the quirks of the game engine worked out over the years, the quality of the latter day Civ2 scenarios has seen a dramatic rise in the playing experience since the FW scenario pack came out.

If you are interested in Atlantis, May I suggest Erin Ryan's Atlantis the Lost Empire instead for a better playing experience. You can get it here...

if and I stress the if, it is the same atlantis scenario that was in cludedin civ II Gold edition, then I've also played it... Rule 1? if oyur playing the atlanteans... get the heck off the island Post haste!

Enough little nubs of land at the south survive to put one or two cities there.
Do it early. Then use the main city to feed it/them settlers and caravans.
Put your wonders there so they will survive.
You should fully develop the island. The volcano does occasionaly fail to erupt.
That said, get on the seafaring stick.
You need to establish colonies in Europe and Africa before Volcano Day.
