I edited the main civ3mod to add a new civilization. I removed Babylon and replaced them with Arabs. Now whenever I start a new game, just after the map is loaded, the game gets a fatal error and crashes. I know it has something to do with the edited mod because when I revert back to the origianal one everything works fin. Here's what I changed:

scientific, religious --> religious, commercial
bronze working and Ceremonial Burial --> Alphabet and Ceremonial Burial
bowman instead of archer --> camel rider 3.1.3 instead of horseman 2.1.2 (I used a Horseman picture, unit abilities: mounted, upgrade to none, no upgrade unit, zone of control, requires horses and horseback riding)
governors focus on science and culture --> trade and culture
unique and default colors red/blue --> brown/brown

The error: Application Error

the instruction at blah blah referenced memory blah blah so on and so forth

I have discovered that changing colors makes the civ crash. Make all other changes (except for renaming units which needs other modifications) but keep the colors as original for all civilizations. Try running game. This may work out...

I think I know what's the problem. The game crashes as it tries to load the graphs for the new units, so this is what to do...
In the 'Art/Units' folder there's folders with names of all the units of the game. For the camel riders, make a copy of the horseman folder and its files. Rename the new folder as 'camel rider'. Then in the folder there should be a 'horseman.ini' file. Rename it to 'camel rider.ini'. Repeat this with your bowman unit.
I hope this helps.
