Poll: Is World Peace Possible

Just decided to make another poll today this one about if there is a possibility of world peace and if there is a reason to try so hard for it.

Some religious-related thing once said that "all war starts and ends in man's hearts" and I think that's very true.

Remove violence from all men and war is gone. Improbable, yes, but it COULD be done...

A mans reach should always exhed his grasp. World peace exheds our grasp but we should still reach for it.

Agreed, we are nasty bastards by instinct and even with the amount of socialisation we have been given, we all still manage to have conflicts with others that go beyond sensible behaviour.

Of course, that doesn't mean we can't strive to get closer to Worl d Peace than we are at any given time.

I think at the very least, we have now been having peace between the major world powers for a very long time now (since the end of WW2).

I suppose if an apocalyptic event were to wipe out most of the world population leaving only a handful of survivors the aftermath would witness a few hours of world peace.

But barring that occurance I'll agree with everyone else. Conflict is natural not only to human life but all life.

We will never have world peace due to the nature of humans. However, we need to try to have some peace.

world peace is entirely possible. In fact, we have been moving closer and closer to it over the course of centuries.

Acheological evidence indicates that organized warfare was non-existant in some neolithic culture and only came later. Remeber that we humans have only had a few hundred generation (and only the last couple for global issues) to work out our differances. Given a few more centuries it should become possible.
