Poll: Our Own Facebook Page?

There is a (very) lame Civ 3 Page already on Facebook, as well as a "Civilization Community." This latter one covers the entire Civ series, yet the few entries I've made to here have been met enthusiastically.

For the record, there's also a (once) again lame Civ 3 section on Steam.

My point here, folks, is that I think we can draw a greater audience to our, "Merrie Band."

Does anyone here have the sense that I'm jumping through hoops to keep us thriving?

- My only issue with Twitter would be maintaining a feed, whereas a FB page could reasonably be a near-mirror of CFC.

Maybe @The_J could have suggestions for that, since he is very active there, and actually runs the site's feed afaik

Right now I'm maintaining our Twitter feed, but we also have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/civfanatics , which is mostly controled by @Blake00 (as well as our reddit).

I don't know what @Ozymandias has in mind, do you want a Civ3 page, a C&C page, or a CFC page?

Blake has managed to wrestle control of the reddit, and also some discord, from some other people. Maybe an option for the Civ3 group?

Yeah as The_J says CFC already has a Facebook page with over 5k followers that we copy our news into. Although Facebook 'pages' function different to Facebook 'groups' so there's no community chat, it's just us posting news. And yup we've got a CFC Reddit I took control of a few months ago that I also post our news into and is slowly growing. Sadly my attempts to get control of several existing CFC Discords have no gone well so far. But yeah over the last few months I've been working my butt off to bring the old CFC FB and Reddit groups to life again using them as an avenue to bring more people back to the forums. The_J has been doing a great job with the CFC Twitter too.

However if you're more so thinking purely Civ3 then yeah these are the groups I know of out there... I've bumped into many CFC members in these places but they are not controlled by CFC staff. I try to share content from this site into these other groups when I can though.
