i really enjoy it and was curious if others felt the same.
Love it, barbarians are nuts though.
Easily my favourite speed at the moment. You can get far more use out of all the units before they become obsolete, and you can get far more wars and so on in one game. It's generally much more laid back and I find it gives a much better game. The barbarians are a little over the top at the moment, but it isn't too much of a problem. If they bother you then you can turn them off, or tone them down by editing the xml file.
u have no "i like it, but i didnt suspect it to be good.
i like it
I think it adds some flavor to the usually boring early game. Had to knock my difficulty level down a notch to keep from getting wiped out though.
I like it. Alot. Would even like one that slows down the years further for the advancements come to quickly.
Yes, watch the barbs. If you dont defend your cities enough you WILL lose cities to barbs, even on settler. THis is really a balancign act when your trying to expand as rapidaly as your economy will allow and trying to keep to your levels down to focus on improvements.
i think it takes to long to build improvements and research technologies.
I like Marathon, the only complain I have about it that they cranked up production times and improvement builds aswell as research and number of turns. I always felt that the point of increasing the game time was to ensure it didn't take longer than a centuary to build a granary.
I didn´t have any problems with barbarians...
It's great !
And there are never enough barbarians
