For those who don't think the leak is real.
Byzantines, err I mean Eleanor.
The question really should be who will Eleanor lead? I still believe she will be the first leader who can choose between multiple civs (in this case, England or France), but that may not be the case.
Eleanor leads the United Kingdoms of England & France from another alternative timeline.
I think at this point we do not need to think much anymore.
The leak was spot on with every civ and leader. You would have to be if you think it isn't Eleanor next week.
Eleanor for certain. There has been no strong Science civs revealed so far, could they do much to an alt leader to make them strong at Science? Or would that require a Science focused UB.
Looking forward to the ottomans at last
I'm going to say, Eleonor, that or Uruguay, could still be.
Wow, 10 percent still don't believe the leak.
Like, I know leak culture is full of liars, but we clearly have a legit leak here. That sort of ambivalence to evidence scares me.
Ottomans, finally! Been waiting for them for a looong time.
I'd put it more like there is still some people that are trying to deny the inevitability of Eleanor coming.
I would vote against Eleanor as she won't probably be "of Aquitaine", but "of France or England or both" . But we know the leak is correct. It is even more correct as her portrait was already leaked too - with Kupe and Christina - and even if the art team could change something, it will possibly be her. I can't imagine they spending that lot of effort and money to make a good model and not using it.
Well I hope she will look better because from what I saw she would be the worst looking leader in the game.
Agreed. They put the face tattoo on Kupe and changed Christina a little, so I guess they will change her too. I hope so at least. Her portrait doesn't resemble anything 12th century at all.
Clearly the next reveal will be the long-awaited Tamar of Georgia.
Since the rate of voting for "something else" is much higher than in previous polls, I'd like to think some of those votes are sarcastic.
Melted Ken Doll Alexander needs Barbie Eleanor. But yes, her model looked appallingly bad in the leak; with the other GS models looking so good (except sort of middling Matthias and Laurier), I do hope they've brought her up to this expansion's standards.
The alt right of the civ boards.
@Zaarin: it ultimately doesn't matter whether the resistance is genuine or sarcastic. I know ultimately this is a frivolous issue, but that's still some (now fourteen) percent of any population that resists reason and/or is actively destructionist.
It's more what it represents that what it is that saddens me.
Well, in my opinion, Gandhi is the worst looking leader though. Alexander beats him by far.
I don't see why Sarah wouldn't go as:
Eleonor of Aquitaine leads both England AND France, in civilization 6, Gathering Storm...
I guess I'm too jaded to be surprised that some people ignore evidence.
Oh, I agree. Gandhi looks like a troll doll. I'm just saying Ken Alexander and Barbie Eleanor will go great together.
It's really the only logical reason to include her; if she leads only England or only France she will have successfully won the dubious title of "most baffling leader choice in Civ6."
Separate names with a comma.
