Oh, ok. So maybe the name that I couldn't spell is their leader.
Need to change my vote as I think it will be the Maori. Given a observation on the Civ Subreddit and position of the globe they have next to them.
Only if we work in the episode where he addressed a tree as the king of France.
I'd like to add that even though you would lose the Redcoat and the Rough Rider, you would gain the Minuteman unique unit that provides either more loyalty or less loyalty to cities depending on which Civ you choose.
Does anyone have (and could post) the order in which civilizations were revealed in R&F?
By the way, I voted Phoenicia - mainly based on preference. I am kinda underwhelmed by the Maori - never understood their fan base.
So in terms of patterns, these seemed to be the case:
This time they went with Hungary, so What-If, New, Europe. So it seems to completely defy the old pattern. So if there is actually any pattern this time, they should go with another What-If, New civ. By that logic, Maori seem likely.
okay, remeber the Sneak Peak is out in a couple of hours, so if you have any final guesses now is the time to get it out of your system
I'm going for an old favourite, probably Inca given their prominence in the trailer but Ottomans and Mali also possible.
This is based on no evidence or thought whatsoever and is therefore a certainty.
Isn't it fairly obvious that it's Eleanor? I think someone pointed out that Ed said that the audience could have some choice next time, and that it would fit Eleanor - play England or france. What other choice could it be that all other civs cant do? So I'm 99% sure that it's Eleanor.
A civ or a civ with a detail that contradicts the leak(s)...
As a far reaching civ of the world, no, they were a bunch of Polynesians who found the biggest island.
WRT culture and fighting they are pretty impressive. You are clearly "toenga kainga" (not even worthy to be eaten).
Excellent 21st century logic.
As much as I love the "If you're Hungary then have some Turkey" joke that I wanted to use as a sign of the civ to come, I remember what @Xur is talking about so I'm really thinking its Eleanor aka the alt leader. We'll see if the leak continues to be correct.
Well Maori represents the Polynesian representative that many of us wanted and not in a blob way of giving us a Hawaiian leader with a Maori unit and Easter Island infrastructure. They weren't my first choice but I will love their inclusion.
Given how unlikely Eleanor would have been just in general terms, if it is Eleanor, then the leak is pretty much confirmed unless it was deliberate trolling.
Except that an image of a blond female leader was leaked before either list of alleged leaders, and there was considerable speculation it was Eleanor before either list came out. Also, she was on both lists, including the one that gave a different different leader for Hungary.
So while Eleanor would be a very unexpected choice, it wouldn't have required inside information to include her on a fake list of guesses.
I'd say that Kristina of Sweden would be a better confirmation of the leaked list.
You might want to brush up on your Eastern European history if you think Hungary was not a major power.
I would guess this week's live stream showcases the world congress, and they'll ask the fans what resolutions to vote on. Considering they chose Hungary to showcase canals, it does not by any means follow that they'll pick a civ with diplomatic bonuses to showcase that.
Well, since the sneak peak (pun intended) hasn't exactly been conclusive, I decided to switch my vote to Maori if that's alright.
Separate names with a comma.
