That's right. The third season of PolyCast is upon us. An official podcast of Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS), its sixtieth episode entitled "Get Off My Lawn" it is now netcasting. Regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, Makahlua, Imran Siddiqui and Annalee "Cartimandua" Barney are joined by first-time guest co-host Tim "ruff_hi" Pratt.

PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy. A nominee in the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories of the 2008 Podcast Awards, its sibling show ModCast focuses on Civ modding.

Well, I didn't actually say 'why' but the reason my Civ4 experience is now complete (played SP, MP, PBEM [and won!], Bitboss, CFC HOF [quarto-something level], award in CFC SGOTM [wooden spoon!], released my own mod, part of a mod team [BUG], my code in CFC HOF mod, my code in BtS patch[!], appeared on modcast ... and finally, appeared on polycast).

I totally don't know what to do with myself now!

Good episode! I enjoyed the renewed discussion on civics. I get the feeling ruff_hi is playing Monarch or above level, but I wonder on what level each regular co-host is playing (or highest level they won a single player game with). Could you disclose this next episode?

Interesting what Cartimandua said on Free Religion ("I play civ weirdly...I think" ). I also switch to Free Religion as soon as possible and envision myself as a benevolent leader which is praised for his religious tolerance.

Yeah - I can typically win at Monarch. I have won a few games at Deity but they tend to be OCC with selected opponents.

I was the first to Monarch level with CFC's elite Q thing ...



... but a number of people have passed me now .
