But are they in the right order? The eightieth episode of PolyCast is now netcasting. "The Letters W, T and F" features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, Makahlua and Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew with first-time guest co-hosts "Lord Parkin" and "Charlie "pi-r8" Pye".

The summary of topics is as follows:

- 02m12s | Research Lab
A real try at some new leader traits in Civilization IV.
- 17m12s | Forum Talk
The best combination under the Unrestricted Leaders option courtesy the Beyond the Sword expansion, two contrasting opinions on the Space Race, and the unholy trinity of Hammers, Coins and Food.
- 40m08s | Miscellaneous
Complexity: when coming upon a CivV, will it be an inevitable outcome (reference).

- Intro/Outro | Miscellaneous
Someone goes existential, somone is having difficulty pronuncing long words, and someone carries on what has become a long-standing show tradition... with a twist.

PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show ModCast focuses on Civ modding and RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution.

As always, enjoy.

Man... I think I really need to reconfigure my audio software, or at least speak louder into the mic. I have a naturally quiet voice most of the time, which doesn't seem to work well with a crappy headset and/or bad audio settings. Heck, when listening to the episode even I couldn't understand what I was saying some of the time!

Aside from that though, it was a good episode, and I had great fun recording it with you guys. Hope to do it again someday! :)

:D

There was also considerable background noise that I had to remove from your recording in post-production in order for you to be understood -- a side-effect of that was reducing your volume a bit more still. Increasing it would have distorted what you had said. So, all these points combined, yes it did result in your being hard to understand in places and I had to leave it that way.

Well assuming there's a next time, I'll have to try to figure out a solution (maybe with some help) to these issues beforehand to get a better quality recording. :)

Hopefully the timing will work out so that it would come to pass.

Sure, we'd see what we could come up with.
