"Population has increased" message

I 'd like to have a "population has increased in X-city" message, when such a thing happens. So that I can play around with the new available tile/specialist right away.
It's very hard to keep track of all my cities' population, especially when the empire is big. But even for smaller empires, such a message would be quite helpful.

Also, I find it weird that I get messages for cultural border expansions, but not for population increase.

Unfortunately, with the new whacked out citizen assignment AI - a message such as you requested has now become a necessity rather than an optional addition.

Try and look through for Civ4lerts modification - I found it before but I cant remember where - it gives you this message and various others to help cut down fiddling about.
